However that was a week ago. It would all really depend on how much the 2nd in command JK his input. I believe he too like Mayo the person. But being that JK runs the day to day operation he may feel like they made a bad choice with Mayo and may warrant a change? The on field products a joke week in and out.. it takes a miracle in order for something to go right on offense.No. Perry indicted that it would have to be something off the field that caused it (possible firing). He's pretty plugged in, I believe him. I think the Krafts love Mayo the man, even if they don't love Mayo the coach, and they are going to give him a lot of leeway.
See above. Again, just telling you what Perry said. Now, perhaps they are playing poorly enough that this is the case, but Perry doubted it. Going 0-4 on the last four games certainly would warrant it in my book. You have to figure there's at least one real ass kicking coming from the Bills, if not two. I'll be listening to what Perry says this week, but I really doubt they will fire Mayo. Maybe they'll ****can AVP and Covington, who knows.I think that egregious something has happened.. the play on the field, the constant media gaffe, the way the the team looks pathetic each week. I know it's not a popular thing to move on after 1 season.. but it's hard to see Mayo back. Becuase of his relationship with RK I can them coming to a mutual agreement. Give me Vrabel as HC, Daboll as OC and Mike Wilks as DC. All veteran coaches!
Then they may lose Chris the fan.No. Perry indicted that it would have to be something off the field that caused it (possible firing). He's pretty plugged in, I believe him. I think the Krafts love Mayo the man, even if they don't love Mayo the coach, and they are going to give him a lot of leeway.
I would think Mayo's mouth just put him on the hot seat...Interesting little tidbit. No player media availability today. Thats not usual and something to monitor. Might be something, might be nothing. That wasn't set before Mayo stuck his foot in his mouth again this morning. This recently came out in a Patriots release.
Please a firing.I would think Mayo's mouth just put him on the hot seat...
Yes. I saw the Perry comments also. I want Mayo to become a HC but I've been waiting like all of us all season. I've just seen him continue to have gaffe after gaffe. Like players coaches are supposed to learn from mistakes to be better leader's for thier players. It's utterly remark he hasn't lost his players theybare all singing his praises. I like Mayo the person not the HC. I really hope they give AVP the benef of the doubts. I think covington gets moved to another position like defensive assistant before he gets out right fired.See above. Again, just telling you what Perry said. People need to start looking at this like anyone would. Sure you really, really, really like someone. Co worker, relationship etc. However, they keep doing the same thing time after time after telling you they would learn from it and get better at it. Then they go right ahead and do it again the first chance they get.I would think Mayo's mouth just put him on the hot seat...
Need time for video games and hoopsJust saw the comment from Reiss saying the team practiced one time during the bye week. Once. Um... lol?
While AVP has never been known to be a creative OC, the lack of talent (putting it nicely) has severely handcuffed every OC the Pats have had since 2019.AVP should go too.
Don't care to see any more of our big-armed QB throw horizontally for a 3 yard gain on 3rd and long.
I knew it was going to be a matter of time before the media starts attacking Mayo as a player. Last week I heard Mazz asking the question of what memorable play he ever had as a player? This was a good question, because he was just a stat collector and had pretty much zero impact on the defense. Why are there people in here saying they like Mayo "the person". Unless you know him personally, how is this possible? He has zero accomplishments as a football coach, yet here he is, coaching the Pats. He got a gig at Optum w no qualifications.
Under Mayo, the team is worse than last year. Why do people "want" him to succeed.as opposed to firing him tomorrow? This season is a lost cause. What is the odd fascination w his success?
Thinking the same thing. I get that "as a person" means something along the lines of their personality but I don't even like THAT about him.Why are there people in here saying they like Mayo "the person". Speculating it's his on camera persona vs Bill's grumpy and surly snarl that folks like. Further, it's probable the fact that he's not Bill.Thinking the same thing. I get that "as a person" means something along the lines of their personality but I don't even like THAT about him.
Mayo was good, no great, as a player. Probably a notch better than Brandon Spikes and that's itI knew it was going to be a matter of time before the media starts attacking Mayo as a player. You can recall plays from both Hightower and Collins, but none from Mayo.
Forgot about Spikes. He was limited, but I loved his hard hits. Yes, overall Mayo was better. However, even Brandon Spikes had plays you remembered.Mayo was good, no great, as a player. Probably a notch better than Brandon Spikes and that's it
