You become the best team by picking the best player’s, not by passing them over and addressing need all the time. Need is always a factor, but when you can get a perennial All Pro, like Champ Bailey, or Randy Moss, you take them and fix the need elsewhere.

If Hunter has shutdown CB talent you take him. Imagine having 2 shutdown CBs and what impact that would have on the defense.

Package that with signing Javon Holland in free agency and you have the best young secondary in football. Address OL in free agency and with their second pick/ package it to move back into the first for your tackle.

If you can get a tackle that’s just as good later in the first I think he would be happy getting a WR and a Tackle. The difference between Campbell/ Banks, and Ersery/Simmons is pretty negligible. However my mind is open, I’ll wait to see where they end up in the order, and how the pre draft testing goes. But Banks is having a mediocre season, and Campbell is starting to sound more like an NFL guard than a Tackle.

Unlike last year ( earlier this year), when I was adamant about taking the QB, this year I’m open about their first couple of picks. If there was a Joe Alt in this draft it would be easy, but the top 2 tackles in this draft would have gone in the 20’s/30’s of last years draft. And other than Hunter there are no lock blue chip players, when last year there were 6-8 of them. Let’s see how free agency goes, then we will have a better idea of how they should approach to the draft.

Who is trading for the #3 pick that will give you 2 1st rounders? I dont even think anyone has 2 first rounders this year. This draft sucks with talent depth. Very few blue chippers and the top tackles are by many projected to be guards.

Literally every team will offer at least that much, if there's a player they want there.

Is Hunter that much better a WR than McMillan or Burden? Is Hunter that much better than a combination of Jeanty + a mid round LT?

If this guy is a once in a decade prospect then sure, go for it, otherwise, if we have the QB, it is time to use the capital to build high quality depth.

Right, but what if by the time we pick in the second all the decent tackles are gone and Wolf decides to draft a guard to convert to a tackle? I’m sure we’d all feel fine with that pick.

That’s why I said they should trade back into the first for Ersery or Simmons, however if it looks like those tackles have moved up significantly then you have to rethink that approach. Simmons has missed almost the entire season so it’s hard to see him going high first round. Sign a tackle in free agency, then draft him and let him work his way into the line up:

So trade back? If this is what you were going to for, I completely agree given that there are not any OT's ranked in the top 10, imo. I would love a trade back but I am not sure that will be an option.

I could not get behind taking a OL in the top 5 this year.
