Does anyone think there is a chance Mayo is one and done?

I also think it would be wise to bring in someone with GM potential from another team to in an “Assistant VP” role under Wolf who can bring a new voice to the room that could challenge some of the ideas Wolf and company have during the draft and free agency.
I think Highsmith is the “Assistant VP” but is he not a good talent evaluator or are people not listening to him.

We need to accept Mayo will be back.
Even if our defense gives us a nfl
Leading amount of points to finish the season.

They will fire Covington as a scapegoat.
Fire Covington & replace him with who? No one worth hiring is coming to work under an incompetent HC heading into a lame duck season. It would have be someone who’s been out of the league, like Fatty Patricia…

Joe Brady is someone I would love to see here . He would be fantastic for Maye.

Welcome to the Brady bandwagon,
I was in on Joe while in college.
He would be a perfect shot to take at at HC.
Kraft really is a moron for taking Mayo who’s not a play caller, game manager nor teacher.
Spot on, could not have said it better myself! I really liked what I saw today, I guess I didn’t pay attention to Joe before as closely as I did today. He is quite masterful and Josh gets better each year !

What if all 4 teams drop a 50 burger on us and we lose by more than 20 points each game. That will be reason enough to fire mayo.
While this D can and will be scored on readily a 50 burger requires that the O fail as well so that the other team keeps getting the ball back. If Maye stays upright we can to some extent play defense by playing offense. That is, holding the ball enough so that the opposing O doesn't get so many scoring opportunities. So, I can see 1, maybe 2, 50s but not 50 burgers going away.

He's not going anywhere this off season.

Breer is Mayo’s number one water carrier & excuse maker. Mayo calls him on the way to the team bus after every game. Fortunately Bedard’s sources inside the team believe the Pats need to be competitive down the stretch for Mayo’s job to be secure.

So? Mayo's going to the HC of the NEP next season. I will put money on it.

Sadly, this is so.

I'm picturing a Wile E Coyote routine with SpongeBob dashing towards a "tunnel" marked "This way to winning season". The tunnel, of course, is just a painting of a tunnel - the tunnel painting being an allegory for Mayo.
