Also, I'll give AVP for calling a good game for most of the 3 quarters.
But, the 4th was insanely stupid. So many Rham-runs for 1yd or -5yd.
Maye was rolling with the passing game, they went safe - especially in the RZ - and settled for FG's

Neither this team, nor these coaches, nor the owner is worthy of a player with Maye's potential.

Van Pelt is a good qb coach: he is a pathetic OC.

Mayo has no shot at being anything better than a barely adequate blah-blah-blah HC. The Krafts - probably not in the person of Robert - will at some point have to develop the balls to admit their mistake and toss him aside. They are wasting th years when a player of Maye's caliber can be had on the cheap.

He is a 22 yo rookie. Cut the guy some slack.
Rookie’s make mistakes.
Josh Allen was bad his first 3 years
The real problem here is that Maye is playing just well enough that the fools who are timid about acknowledging Mayo's incompetence get cover from the competitiveness which results, notwithstanding that absolutely none of that competitiveness is the work of the bumbling fool in the HC office.

Since it was a miscommunication and we don't know whether the bad read was DD or Maye, kind of ridiculous anyways.
Some of these posters need to watch some NFL QB tape, it is the hardest position in sports to play, you throw before guys make breaks, you anticipate option routes and hope receiver reads the same thing. There was a reason Brady refused to throw to certain receivers. Maye is playing at a top 5 level NFL QB. Compare the talent Stafford had vs Maye.

Thanks to the coaching staff Maye had almost zero reps with DD in pre-season and camp, it take time to develop a trust and be on the same page.

Too many mental errors. 4 procedural penalties/holds killed drives or made it 3 instead of 7. Drake taking the sack and pick at the end. The mistakes by drake are frustrating but thus far its still not nearly as bad as what josh Allen/ both mannings/ lawrence looked way worse year 1. Its really a shame that it might be the narrative for today’s game because he really was brilliant for the most part.

Bourne is back! That’s pretty key for maye and i think that contributed to what was probably his best game thus far. Feel good about pop /bourne /henry. Boutte and hooper make some key contributions.

Ol and edge need upgrades , dl needs depth. Pharms disappears when hes not going against backups and 3rd stringers. Overall theres some hope and some worries, about what youd expect in a rebuild. Front office will need to be more aggressive next year.

Id love to know the motivation of the blame Maye people...is it loyalty to the Kraft Family? Maye is above and beyond expectations. He has inferior talent around him compared to his peers at the position. Can't make chicken salad out of chicken ****. They have an offense full of third options on good teams and a terrible line. I don't know what the blame Maye people want. How about not taking the ball at the 10 and making the other team rekick?

Am I the only one who thinks Rham is not good.
He dances forever, he turns sideways immediately on short yardage, inside runs.
Gibson is much more nimble and shifty.
Rham barely gained 1 yard (or TFL) on most of his 1st down runs.
I know we can blame the OL too, but did you see Williams and even 5-foot-nothing Corum??

polk with two massive ****ups at the end of the game.
Why did we cut Thornton and keep the guy who is even worse.

I love Drake Maye. I wouldn't want any other rookie QB. The more I look at it I think Douglas should have sat down, or at least Maye was expecting him too. I'm leaning more towards Douglas right now than Maye.

Even if true (which is debatable), its ridiculous to get upset for one interception in his rookie year
I am not upset at all about Maye INT. I was just correcting you on Allen.

He was 20 TD and 9 INT his 2nd year and 37 TD and 10 INT his 3rd year
