My issue with it is really that it's happening mid season. Now I am not naive enough to think that it doesn't go on mid-season all over, but it was leaked by someone. Why? This should have been addressed back in April or May, or they should have waited until the off-season. Now it smacks of them undermining and having a vote of no confidence in the staff, either as a whole or a part.

Yep the time to obtain info on developing a rook QB was shortly after he was drafted. Doing it now screams to me that we are not happy with the development.

Have the Raiders ever done anything good at all? Look at their coach this year. They supposedly loved him. Then they quit on him. But it's really irrelevant to Josh because a lot of people arent cut out to be HCs

Look at Flores in Miami. Those players said some extremely negative things about him, yet he's doing a great job of making the worst defense in the NFL look mediocre this year

There's a difference between having high standards and demanding everyone do their jobs, handing out consequences if they don't, and being an *******. ******* bosses try to elevate themselves and not their team. They are toxic people. The whole team can tell that the boss is in it for himself and that the team is a means to that end. He may be very, very good at what he does and be filled with knowledge and expertise, but few want to follow because the team realizes it's his glory, not the team's that is being prioritized. Some will follow, the sycophants looking to get ahead and cling to the boss because he might help take them there, but those create even more dissension.

A few people will ***** if you are justifiably hard on them. They have low character.

McDaniels' work with Brady was phenomenal. He took advantage of all the things Brady did well to open space for a team that was not extraordinarily talented on offense, with the exception of 2007 and 2012.

When Brady went to Tampa, nothing was working for him in Arians's offense. It wasn't until Brady told Arians to do it the McDaniels way that that offense started cooking. Brady took control.

No doubt Brady and McD were a dynamic combination, and under the umbrella of BB, the result was -- well, we all know what it led to.

I have no objection to anyone saying McD was a top OC with Brady. They were in a league of their own together. Could he duplicate that with Maye? I don't know, but I wouldn't want to try under Mayo.

It only feels like interference because the Krafts pretend they don't get involved in football things. Now that this is public it looks like they don't trust Mayo, AVP and Wolf to handle football decisions. Otherwise it would simply be like BB spending time with other peers to learn how they do things, aka business as normal. If this news causes the players to rally around the coaches, the Krafts would be wise to pay attention before making changes.

People remember the 7 game run that Mac had to raise hopes that he was going to be good. No one remembers how much JMD's gameplans protected Mac to the point where the team essentially ran out the clock instead of trying to comeback in the 4th quarter to keep him out of difficult situations. JMD was criticized heavily for not allowing Mac to play to his full potential.

He's lobbying for the HOF, and frankly he should have been in there long ago, but them's the rules.

Maye doesn't need another coach, he needs an offensive line, blocking and a power run game... he has none of those.

He also needs a defense that's smart as it is talented... ours is only talented.

The offensive line is abysmal, Rhamondre runs directly into a stone wall and any gain he makes usually an Olympian effort on his part. The pass rush only works occasionally because of play action, which becomes toothless when runs go nowhere because nobody upfront wins matchups. It also fails miserably when they're behind and opponents know they have to pass.

We've become that dumb franchise that can't evaluate their own team, or diagnose real problems.

We've seen flashes of acceptable from both coordinators all season. Van Pelt seems to be improving, I liked some plays and series in today's game. He just seemed to run out of plays, and of course blocking broke down.

Covington is just a young coach learning on the fly. We saw this in the past with coordinators Bill hired, even if they didn't hold the title "coordinator." They improved over time. Brian Flores improved quickly, Patricia took longer to improve. But these guys also had Bill standing over them, he could circumnavigate a lot of growing pains... Mayo doesn't have the kind of juice.

It's ridiculous to have drafted the youngest QB in the draft and have three new coaches running the entire thing. Mayo and crew are a concern, Wolf is my biggest. If the coaching is adequate, great talent could make them look better, but great coaching can't make bad talent look good. They could hire their hundredth coach... or hire some offensive linemen.

This season the Jest's D went from a top five in points (per drive) and lowest scoring percentage when Saleh was there... now they're ranked 18th and 14th in both. The mostly same defense ended last season 4th in PPD allowed, 2nd in yards, and 8th in forced turnovers.

You don't think coaching or anything matters except who your QB is, it's like talking to a young girl at a Taylor Swift concert with tears in her eyes. Hero worship...
