Kraft allegedly seeking outside QB guru.

Yep, but for how long? McDaniels isn't a different person. He is what he is. An *******. No one wants to work with assholes. We can do better.
I have never ever ever cared that some players don't like the demeanor of certain coaches. I have never cared that media personalities have had their feelings hurt. I have only ever cared that we had the type of players that cared more about winning than anything else.

Or Rohan Davey either... or the Vikings HC...

I totally forgot about Davey.....I'm sure there are several other later-round QBs recently taken they didn't do so hot on but cannot remember. This getting old **** sucks...

Bill should've started Zappy vs da Bears on MNF, that's for dam sure... Instead, he ****ed it all up. Beginning of the end for the ol' ball coach here.
that was a weird decision, no doubt

@patfanken

ugh away... means zip to me if you aren't going to follow up... just pulling an archstanton...

I think its good the krafts are going this route. While this coaching staff in place sucks. Mayo looks more lost at sea than a volleyball named "wilson". The search is fine, but I think its stupid that its being spread far and wide because it undermines coach mayo even further.

you used to write some great posts, so i dunno, maybe contribute instead of just taking emoji potshots?

My first post on this thread was a knee jerk response to the OP. THEN I had the misfortune to skim the rest of this 6-page thread. By page 2 every post was written as if this "allegation" was absolute FACT, like every poster had been in the room when the supposed call was made. Do you think there MIGHT be a possibility that someone in the media could have taken this and created the drama seen on this thread and create some click bait. Do you guys even understand the meaning of "allegedly"?

Instead, this has become just an excuse to continue the Kraft, Mayo, and all the Perceived wrongs you see on the field bashing. And I remind you that the MOST important things a coach has to accomplish is to 1. have the ability to lead your team during adversity. 2 get them to play hard for 4 quarters even through adversity. And 3. produce a competitive team most weeks. and I would content that the Pats have been a LOT more competitive each game than, say, the Cowboys or the Jags. Both of whom had better rosters than the Pats going into the season. I contend Mayo had achieved ALL those things and more, despite mistakes being made that you would expect to see in a very young and inexperienced coaching staff

But there are STILL 7 more games to be played. This is a team that been competitive for vast majority of this season. But it is a team that has not yet "learned" how to win those very close games or not to lose those games at the end. We saw that in most of the 20 years starting in 2001. Lots of close games that we won a great many of when WE made the great play or the OTHER team made the mistakes at the end that we didn't. And while I don't expect this team to suddenly do what the Chiefs have done all season, I DO expect them to show incremental improvement each game. I expect them continue to pl.ay hard even though they know right now they are not making it to the playoffs. And this is going to be very hard when your team is playing out the string when you still have 7 more games to play. THAT will be the mark of good coaching. This season is to grow and develop and wins or loses matter less. BTW I am a charter member of the club that will find us with a high enough draft pick to be able to trade down and still get on of the top 2 OTs, or DE's

Is it allegedly when they are doing it? No. And they should be doing it, if they aren't. Period.

The staff gets it on a weekly basis because the team keeps doing the same things over and over. Maybe that has improved because Maye has been covering up the mistakes with his ability to make something out of a broken play. That's not leading.

The 2001 team forced other teams into making mistakes. It was a much better team.

Has the progress been there?:no, it hasn't.

The NFL is a win or lose league. Wins and losses set the chemistry. Development of the culture. Moral victories mean nothing.

And trade down. Zero problems with that. But you have to be able to trust in the guys leading the team to develop the rookies. That trust isn't there yet.

Remember when people assumed Belichick would make Tim Tebow into a good QB and he ended up not making the team? Good times.
Yet another random dig

I don't think Patricia was good for Mac, but move into year three, what happened? With a real bonifide OC in billy o, Further regression. Even less offensive production, less scoring. At some point it has to become obvious that the player bears some responsibility for the outcome. It wasn't coaching. It was the players inability to accept coaching and apply said lessons.

Mac Jones was going to do what Mac Jones wanted to do.

Mayo though doesn't know what he is doing. The search for a guru just reinforced that thought.

I just don’t think that Jones has the ability to be an NFL QB. In short, he sucks.

So defensive lmao. My point had nothing to do with Bill and everything to do with Tebow, his fans and the media who were pumping him up. As if he was a guarantee on this team

Reading comprehension again

well I'm certainly not going to argue that point, lol

Word is the players quit on him in Vegas, in large part because of his demeanor. If you've ever been on any kind of team, let's say at work, you know people check out when they have an ******* boss or end up leaving from greener pastures. You better care about a coach's demeanor. Not caring leads to minimal effort and the departure of talent. I know what I am talking about. I've led large teams and had to fire ******* mid-level bosses because their teams were falling apart and they couldn't manage to tamp that **** down. You are who you are.

The only people pimping Tebow were the Tebowites. Who followed him from team to team. By the time he got to NE The Onion had already encapsulated his career with one headline from his Jets camp, “ Ground Emerges as Tebow’s Favorite Receiver!”

Belichick wanted to turn him into an H-Back, which he foolishly refused. He could have had a decent career in that role.

Yeah that’s true. Always a fun read

85 posters wanted us to keep him. Christiancat voted 80 times? Lol

Have the Raiders ever done anything good at all? Look at their coach this year. They supposedly loved him. Then they quit on him. But it's really irrelevant to Josh because a lot of people arent cut out to be HCs

Look at Flores in Miami. Those players said some extremely negative things about him, yet he's doing a great job of making the worst defense in the NFL look mediocre this year

More ball fondling and nob gobbling from the media....
