Is Browns LT Jedrick Wills Jr good?

A 5th year player who set out for "business" reasons? Nope. Already lived the Trent Brown experience,

If not an upgrade, at least bring him in as a backup...all we need is for one of the starting 5 to go down and back to ****tier OL play (not saying its good)....
Agree. On both lines guys that aren't NFL starting caliber players are pressed into starting roles. Lowe is a back up on any team not named NEP. Drake had helped the OL immensely and made brunng them up to mediocre from piss poor. Ownenu has had to compensate so his typical all pro play suffered becuase of it.

Yes, I just hope wolfy don't get duped into believing lowe is the long term answer and we end up right back where we are next season. I want a real LT.. Robinson or Wallace could pan out at RT..
Wallace will never pan out as an RT. It was a horrendous choice. I've seen the guy play 50 games over his career. He can't move sideways.

I think you're the Biggest critic of Offensive Lineman are there any good ones?? Asking for a friend.

The people pushing back on possibly signing Wills have me scratching my head.

You realize that drafting an LT high in the draft is not a guarantee of finding a solution to the position, right?

Only half of these guys ever pan out.

The names Ikem Ekwonu, Evan Neal, Broderick Jones, Trevor Penning, Luke Joeckel, Alex Leatherwood, Makhi Becton, Isaiah Wilson, etc. should scare people willing to spend a top 10 on LT.

I'm not saying we SHOUDN'T take an LT. if you need one, take him. But when you have a good one staring right at you in FA, go after him.

Have a look also at last year. Olu Fashanu?

Well, you're making that up, it isn't true. It's exactly the opposite actually, and I'd say I'm 90% more positive about our OL than others.

As for Wallace, I gave him a very bad evaluation in December long before we picked him. I'm a Penn State fan, I did a degree at the school. I watch them every weekend. If 50+ games wasn't enough, I don't know what to tell you. He can't move laterally,

By the way, I also said Polk was going to be a bust for whatever team was going to take him in the 3rd round, and I gave plenty of reasons why. Polk is right now playing exactly as he did in Washington, where he was the 3rd WR, struggled to separate, and when he did catch the ball, did not have the speed to do much with it.

Again, thee critiques came 4 months before the patriots selected these players

Point taken I wasn't being snide... I think Polk work well with others. He put up Good numbers with Penix Jr and was a TD machine @ Washington: Rome Odunze was drawing the coverage. I know he wasn't running away from people but I think he could be a decent possession guy. I am going to give Wallace another year @ RT to see hat he's got he's no LT by any stretch of the imagination. I agree we did not do well with our other early picks aside from Maye we have to do better in 25.

I don't watch much of the browns but after talking to a buddy, he said ****ing take him. I took that to mean that he is not good.
I’ve gathered it’s been inconsistency and injuries. He’s played well when he’s been healthy. But the issue is he’s never healthy, and his play has dipped as a consequence.

I don’t want another Trent Brown situation. We need dependability.

Take a flyer? Sure.

But I definitely wouldn’t pay him a huge contract. That’s the difference between these draft picks and his situation. You have to pay him real money.

Right now, as we're building up, and we are $130m under the cap next year, the Patriots can really do anything they want. A 3 year huge contract for this guy is meaningless to the Patriots.

I wouldn't mind two guys who can swing at Tackle in FA. I think we are ok at Guard and Center...Tackle is our weak spots.

IF our Situation at Tackle wasn't dire I would agree with you. But we have a potential Franchise QB who needs better protection. The Krafts need to Open their wallet and we can only hope for good health.

Brother they can no longer hide behind TB12 anymore.. they have to spend.. getting a franchise LT to protect thier franchise QB.. I think we can get by with Robinson/Wallace at RT. I would be shocked if they didn't spend in FA

The concerns about quitting on plays has been there for years. He was the weak link on a really good OL for 3 years, but now he’s a weak link on a bad OL hit hard by injuries and age. He has injury concerns of his own lately. I don’t think we can be working off the assumption that he’s actually any good. Browns fans hate him and will be laughing at the idea of anybody seeing him as a solution at LT.

He can't be Worse than the Tackles we have though... Let's not kid ourselves.

Identify a guy in the draft that we can take at LT and no more of these projects from other teams roster and practice squads

Hes not worse, but that doesn’t mean we should throw money at him. The more i hear the less i want this guy. I think we should pounce on jackson if he hits fa, if not id settle for cam robinson as a short term solution

??

Jedrick Wills isn't a project. Not at all. He is what he is. A top draft choice, veteran, what you see is what you get. The only project would be whoever we take in the 1st round if it's a LT. They bust half the time

Not saying he is at all. I was just making that as a general statement. I'm open to him or anyone at LT that's elite or pretty much better than what we have now.
