Jaguar Mac Jones is about to embarrass the genius BB and his all star coaching staff [mod edit: he didn’t]

Kevin Mannix posted here? What was his handle?
I'm sitting here waiting in a queue trying to get tickets for Glastonbury. I get that people have different views on BB, I have mine too. But this talk of "hate" always seems a tad to strong a word to use.

There are plenty of people with different views it's really just a select few that have proven to be true haters. And the hate flows through them like a sith.

I was thinking of crawhammer. I should look in post history to see if he ever called Bill "duplicitous pond scum"

weren't they in Star Wars?

I'm surrounded by children

Don't worry, I look even older than I already am

My friends, this is supposed to be a thread for pointing and laughing about a terrible prediction that Mac would be good after he left and he was obviously not. I don’t know how or why it transformed into yet another “I hate Bill Belichick” thread.

Because Bill left us a shyte roster And a front orifice utterly incapable of improving it...?

That answer is easy: it's because @sb1 hates Bill Belichick and for him every thread is an "I Hate Bill Belichick" thread.
Agreed. @sb1 with his BB hate, and @archstanton543 with his constant disagreements infiltrate almost every thread. Talk about two guys that couldn't read a room if it smacked them in the face.

Best bet at this point is to play it off as sarcasm. I am not a lawyer or PR expert, however.

Most mornings I feel much older than I'm ever likely to get. This past spring a former neighbor of ours passed away at 110. My wife said "Can you imagine living to 110?" I looked her square in the eye and replied "No, not in this F'n body I can't."

I miss Crawhammer.
I've noticed the board has been pretty mild since some posters were either banned or left?

Is it because Tom and now Bill are gone and the Pats are bad? It seems like a reset around here.

I wonder what happened to @venecol. Don’t think he was banned? His last post was in April.

Not that I am aware of. Was a cool dude. Dished it but also took it, owned his bad takes. Probably just doesn’t feel like talking about this iteration of the team right now lol

Folks might be waiting to see how the rest of the season plays-out... The way I look at it, the coaching staph blew any real PO chance the team had with those bad losses to Seattle, Miami & the Titties, so the very least I want for the rest of the season is that our rookie QB finishes each game on his feet; and yes winning takes a back set to that. I still want the two children in the front orifice taken away, as well as the WR coaches, and that desire won't change even if they win the rest of their games, which of course is never, Ever happening. The fish first rots from the head.

Your early to mid 60's are when you start discovering maybe your Mom was on to something back when she suggested you should treat your body like the temple she knew it was instead of the carnival tent you were sure it was intended to be. Mid to late 60's is when the bill for all those carny shows starts coming due and you discover just how staggering the accrued interest truly is.
In your 70's the damn tent just falls the hell in.

Your Dad and I have a bit in common. I still ride a bike (a few in fact although the Norton is getting to be a tough ride these days) and most everday I work at drinking whiskey

That damned tent falls when one does nothing about it.

Nothing to do with age and everything to do with what your mom said.

It seems like living healthy, eating right and exercising properly is an outlier these days and literally an act of civil and social disobedience.

Your points are well taken. I especially like that you do not include overextending on the cap as part of the plan when contending for a championship. I would prefer following the model where the team spends to the cap and competes every year rather than having boom and bust cycles.

While I understand that things take time, I am uneasy about putting a timeline on the rebuild. If the rebuild window is not tight, the initial set of players get injured or age out before the plan comes to fruition. Wolf needs to understand that the time to minimize investment is passed. Time to establish the yearly process to expend as many resources as he can without mortgaging the future to make the team as good as it can be for the upcoming season. All the talk about building for the future by Mayo and Wolf needs to stop after this season. The team needs to set higher expectations with the players.

Stu, that’s just my opinion of a realistic timeline to become a Championship contender. Team’s always want to get there faster. To me the goal isn’t to get there faster, it’s to build a team that is going to be able to stay at that true contender level for as long as you have your franchise QB, which is usually more than a decade. I want them to be in the final 4 year after year, as that’s how you stack up Lombardi’s. To do that you have to set aside immediate gratification and make really smart signings in free agency, as well as drafting well and making smart trades. I believe that Wolf understands all of this, and will build this franchise for long term success if he’s given the chance.
