And if they don't get it you complain they try it.
Nope. We called for it live. Gotta know how your team feels. Mayo had no clue how exhausted his D was.

i don't get that... he did well last year in a limited role, with covington running the dl and stevie b on the olbs... has definitely increased his snap count though... maybe thats part of the issue?
He gets doubled, shadowed. Who else does the offense really have to worry about?

I didn’t mean to slight her in the least.
I just meant that it means it wasn’t a very good game, not enough to think back on positively from the actual game itself lol

I’m fine if we’re blaming AVP, but the WRs not getting separation and the line being unable to give Maye time to let the WRs get separation (or the RBs run the ball well) is a big reason Maye has to improvise so much.
Well it’s all intricately woven.

The WRs don’t separate well because the route design is poor and the scheme sucks.

The RBs don’t run the ball well because the line isn’t blocking well and also because the play calls are so obvious and easy to predict.

The pass blocking is mostly due to injury and guys being overmatched but still there’s some coaching issues here. Why put Onwenu back at tackle and play Robinson at guard again? I saw multiple times that Robinson got beat badly and ruined a play. I don’t really grasp why they needed to do that. Onwenu at RG/Jacobs at RT was fine and they were building continuity.

Get the first overall pick while showing Maye is good, fire Mayo and crew, attract a good offensive HC who wants to work with Maye, spend tons of cash on offensive and defensive pieces in free agency, trade the 1st overall pick for a nice sum with whoever wants the top QB.

You’d definitely be able to turn this team into a good unit fast that way. Might even be able to get a guy like Ben Johnson.
You are asking to restart a franchise around a Qb who looks good so far and think it can happen really quickly? Why didn’t it happen this year?

Because they hired a rookie head coach and the roster was left in a state so bad that it's going to take at least two or three years to build it up again.

Because they didn’t have as many picks as I propose here, didn’t spend the cash like I propose here, and their coaches they have now suck

That is the HOPE!
QB's in this draft are lower than 2024 on average by quite a bit but there are some enticing guy's teams may overpay for.
So far, I only see 5 guys that could be good starters immediately, so staying in the top 5 is important IMO.
Luckily none of those 5 are QB's so if 2 go in the top 5 by desperate teams would set up well for us to capitalize.
2025 is looking like a very weak draft overall, I would love to snare a 2026 1st, as that draft looks much stronger.
So much can change between now and then. So many college games plus the bowls still to be played. The hype train continues with the combine and pro days.

Maye needs to take better care of the ball
I think in time he will
They have very limited talent around him. I think he is trying to be Superman to win games
The end of regulation play seems to show he has a bit of the “IT” factor

I hope Kraft does the right thing and turns over the GM/Coaching staff in the offseason
This kid could be good. I have no faith in Wolfe/Mayo/AVP. They are the JV team

Not fully out on Wolf yet because it’s hard to judge a draft after half a season. Plus Brown, Jacobs and others have been good in-season finds. Also, Mayo et al were not Wolf’s staff choices, so I would be curious what things would look like if Wolf was actually in charge of the HC choice. Not supremely confident but not necessarily ready to dump the guy either. I’m not certain you’ll just magically find a better GM

Polk, Wallace, Robinson, and Baker suck. Does anyone even know who the 5th to 7th round picks are? It is hard to judge Slow Polk with stone hands? You are still waiting to see on Wallace and Robinson? Dude, raise the white flag and stop the half season BS.
Plus Brown, Jacobs and others have been good in-season finds.
Brown was awful against the JETS and today. Brown and Jacobs look tolerable because Wolf's original guys are abysmal. Compared to Okorafor the practice squad guys we have look OK. Haha. LOL. Our GM is so bad at picking FAs, we feel blessed with Brown, Jacobs, and Robinson. The PatsFans have no expectations.

The Pats would be 0 - 9. You have confidence in Wolf? Remember when Wolf said Okorafor was a LT? Okorafor is now AWOL. Remember on draft night when Wolf said Wallace could play LT? Wallace is worse than expected. Remember Wolf's press conference when he said the OL was OK? Haha. And you want Wolf in charge of the HC choice? WTF.

It does not have to be magic. Maybe close your eyes, spin around 3 times, and pin the tail on the wall? If you think it is possible to have a worse draft than 2024, minus Maye, you must be eating mushrooms daily.

It only took 2 years last time. You think it will take 3 years this time?

I think part of the answer is we have $35 millionto spend now.
We have $135 million to spend in 2025.
We had 48 million in dead cap this year ... 5.6 million next year.

This year makes sense to me ... evaluate coaching, build a back half of the roster ... get Drakes feet wet.

I have a hypothetical question for any draft experts.. now that we currently have the no1 pick.

With no teams in possession of multiple 1st rounders, and looking at the draft chart the no1 overall would be worth:

No 5 overall
No 10 overall

Also, given Mayo and Wolf will be on the hotseat next year I can't see them dealing it away for future years picks they might not be around to oversee:

What exactly would be comprised in this "haul" that I keep seeing people saying we should get?

(Btw I think Cam Ward and Sanders go 1-2 overall this year, as it tradition with the inevitable hype train process).

It would be amusing if we could scam the NY Giants for their 5 overall plus Nabers but that would never happen.

You nailed it right there "that would Never happen."

Polk separates himself from the rest of Rookie WR's again Today...he's a Bust I'm done clueless player.
maybe wolf and groh have been picking WRs all these years which landed at bill's feet?

Said it before - Drake maye will keep a lot of these coaches employed longer than they should be ..
