Actually the curse began ten years ago and I am responsible. On Nov 14, 2014 Lehigh U and Lafayette College played the 150th football game between the two schools at Yankee Stadium. I have multiple relatives who went to both schools so I attended. I took a Red Sox banner and wrapped it up with a note saying it was a gift from a member of Red Sox nation ( see above picture) and hid it in a spot that likely would never be found. I had a few drinks in me so I don't remember exactly where it is hidden. After what they did to find the Ortiz jersey digging up concrete, I figured that would be a negative talisman to curse the Yankees. They haven't won a World Series since.

Absolute truth and my nephew was a witness. Are you Lafayette or Lehigh? Thanksgiving is always interesting as each side throws shade at the other. Nephew was wearing a F*^& Lafayette bracelet and his 85 y. o. grandmother asked what it was. He replied " oh fight cancer"

Went to Lehigh. Class of 91. We always would chant "Safety School" when passing by Lafayette students.
