Was hoping for the sweep but I will settle for the gentleman's sweep. Still bittersweet to see Mookie out there for the Dodgers but the one thing I will say is I am happy it was two big market teams that spend money in the World Series. Not that it will matter to the Fenway bean counter group, but maybe after the Sox further fade into irrelevance and the Yankees are competing for rings at some point Henry will spend.

I'm not above repeating myself...

So hard of a series, and I admit I watched not one pitch of it. On one side, the Yankees who suck ass and are extremely overrated. On the other one you have a Dodgers team led by a dude who should at the very least be banned from baseball, and worst awaiting trial on federal charges. They also have a dude who can't just admit Boston wasn't for him and instead tries to pacify his former city at every turn. So the Dodgers are pretty much a loser team in my opinion as well. I could have rooted for San Diego, maybe even the Mets. Instead, greed and arrogance got rewarded and it sucks.

Since I follow a large market team like the Red Sox I honestly say F the small market teams. My problem is the large market team I like pretends to be a small market team and trades away stars and doesn't spend in free agency anymore.

I hate that we want to be the Tampa Bay Rays mainly because it doesn't work and I absolutely hate the Rays. I don't like the nerds running the game and growing the farm system only to let the guy walk when it is time to pay him. You play in an arena league football dome in a third rate city like Tampa then fine. Let your homegrown guys walk and let the next 21 year old take his spot and continue toiling away in front of your 5,000 fans. This is a top 5 media market with a loyal fanbase and we are rewarded with half measures when it comes to building the roster.

Well I do agree with Henry in some regards. Baseball players are expensive and it takes one moronic team like LA to spend like drunken sailors to hurt the game. I am all on board with what the Sox have been doing, 10000 percent. Why? Because they are developing the farm system which in the new economic game needs to happen, and it needs to happen year after year after year. then you add to that with certain targeted FAs.

Do I like losing, nope. But Dom Dom left the cupboard bare and its taken years to get back. Instead of completely complaining, look at what the team is right now. Loaded with young, very very good talent with major reinforcements coming up. The number 1 prospect in baseball is something that isn't getting any attentions and thats a symptom of the local media not knowing one **** about what they are talking about.

Until baseball implements a salary cap (which will likely be never) then teams that have the capital should spend like drunken sailors. If that means the runts like Tampa or Kansas City can't consistently compete then boo hoo. It makes their stories even better when they do have their flash in the pan.

The fact is Henry has the money to spend. He has done it in the past but now has decided to hand the reigns to the nerds ignoring how much of baseball is mental and about momentum. You can plug in numbers for guys like Judge and I am sure their algorithms will project him to be the World Series MVP but instead he slumped and was a big part of the reason they went down 0-3.

This season the Sox got hot about 6 weeks before the all-star break and a legitimate extra bat and starting pitcher really could have shown the fans, Cora, and the team that the front office believed in them. Instead they traded for a dinosaur starting pitcher who got hurt (surprise!) pretty soon after he got here, a couple of underwhelming relievers who got dinged up, an average catcher, and then another starting pitcher who has potential but was never really going to help last season. They just continue to bargain hunt when they have the money to supplement the roster with premium players.

Nah this wasn't the year to spend on the team. It was all fools gold and they knew it but can't say it. They made a couple moves to literally appease the fans. They did need to clear some space for the new draft picks so guys were unloaded that had been around for a while. It was house cleaning more than anything really as was pointed out to me when it happened.

Everyone is a me me me I want it right now and stamping their feet kind of fans. Which is fine, thats what being a fan is about. You can't operate that way if you want to remain profitable etc etc. If they do nothing this offseason then I will start to raise some legitimate questions. They need to grab a number 1 starter, a right handed power bat that hits for average. Maybe even explore Soto, and trade some left hitters. He is only 25.

Judge is a roided up ******* who happened to be off cycle for the playoffs. That is what you see with him and why he shockingly went in the tank in the WS. The Yankees have always had juiced players and nothing will stop that.

Look at their plane. Dodgers must have won it for their friends in Boston

Must have a special place to protect sports championship trophies.

Or Kraft needs the cash for some reason?

Maybe Kraft is hedging his bets and taking steps to be considered for the MLB Hall of Fame.

Holy smokes watching the fans faces after the team imploded in the 5th was priceless.

4 World Series championships in 24 years to 1. They are so lucky Henry went cheap because it would of been more like 5 or 6 to 1.

Seriously, do the Dodgers not have their own plane?
