Newsflash, the Chiefs probably won't win this year.
Really I won't cry if they Threepeat the stage is already set. The minute Mahomes got under Center and Started winning I said he's the closest QB I have seen to Brady.

2026 6th. Yuck. This is clearly just shipping him out. Must have wanted him out of the locker room.

I don't want to be that guy, but this is another of Wolf's signings that didn't work out.

I’ve seen others post that too, but why? They’re 7-0. Yeah, they’re flawed, but who’s going to knock them off? The Bills are as inconsistent as ever. The Ravens have a history of blowing it in the playoffs, and have allowed more points than the Pats thus far this season. The Texans? Diggs might be done for the year. The 9ers have major injury issues. The Lions? Awesome story, but would anyone bet money on Goff over Mahomes in the Super Bowl?

I’m not seeing it yet, as much as I’d like to see it.
I have been watching a fair bit of the Chiefs this year out of curiosity. Mahomes isn't Mahomes this year, and the line is a bit suspect. I have either Buffalo, or Baltimore knocking them out this year. I have one of those two vs the Lions with the Lions winning. There is something with that team that screams SB winner to me.

Goff passed for less than a hundred yards yesterday I think and put up what 50? They are a literal wagon.

Worst roster in football? Only assumption is uche is a malcontent but also is half the team

Uche was benched yesterday, and has been strongly speculated as one of the guys teammates have been complaining about as freelancers.

If Mayo and Wolf are trying to build a culture here, he’s the type of guy you need to get rid of if that’s the case.

I do agree that the return seems like peanuts, but on the other hand, what has he done in the last season and a half to warrant more?
We’ll he was probably benched because the trade was negotiated and they didn’t want to play him in case he got hurt and messed up the trade.

I’ve seen nothing saying Uche was a problem, where did you see that?

Should have been a 5th if it's a 2026 pick.

It’s half a year of him. There’s not much you can do. It was either let him walk for nothing or take something small

Is it real ?
A 6th in 2026 ?

Bad trade

Likely correct, that would make sense.

I said strongly speculated, but I should have been clearer — only by people here, not reporters. Sorry for that. Godchaux made comments about freelancing and selfishness on the part of certain players about a month ago. Certain posters here speculated Uche for various reasons. But no one in the media to my knowledge, and no concrete evidence. For all I know he’s been entirely with the program the whole time, in which case my comments are entirely off base.

Rather take a 2050 7th than help the chiefs
It’s a business first, FO’s don’t care if another team wins a Super Bowl (especially if said team is already scheduled to win it).

Bummer.

About what I expected though. First that he was gone, sitting him verified that, and that we'd get a 6th or so... Elliss stepping up really cemented the Pats willingness to ship Uche out...

edit: didnt realize it was a '26 pick... wolf got ripped off

Uche hasn't played particularly well in a couple of years and is on an expiring deal. He had little to no trade value. He had bigger offers this offseason and they apparently convinced him to come back for less here but it just hasn't worked out. Being a new regime my guess is they do care to some degree about their reputation league wide and want players to feel this is a team that will do right by them. So in that sense I think it worked out that they found him a destination that he'll probably be happy to go to.

dang, that ain't much. on the other hand, we are totally in accumulating picks mode

I would think followers of the dynasty Pats would know well that even when you're the clear cut best, odds still are you won't go perfect in the playoffs.

that's practically a 7th....guess Uche wasn't worth much?
