Just watched the replay after work. Without seeing any analysis what stands out is I dont think that was a Jets TD in the first quarter. Also Gonzo had a bad interference call and there was another critical phantom call early I cant remember on the o-line I believe. Another observation is I think Brissett is more clutch than we give him credit for. He showed flashes in other games. We need these damn receivers to catch the ball! Get a stud receiver and the other guys will do better without the pressure.EDIT: forgot to mention I wish they didn't lay down before half time. They coulda tried at least for a FG.

Yeah Brisket is a capable backup and shines best when he comes on in spots like these. Trash as a starter

Does he? Jets took the lead before Brissett replaced Maye. Brissett was at QB when Pats took the lead in Q4.

I think Boutte might be the real deal. He's in position to make the plays when we need him to be there and is catching more than Polk or Bourne.

K Bourne supporters put up your hands, he's such a great player to have around. I hope you'll know he's worse than Tyquan. I think Bourne is going Snitch on his "Hands" this week, they were out late partying Saturday night.

With concussion protocol situations there are not a lot of updates.

When the other team has not game-planned for him, he performs. When they know he's the starter and game-plan for him, it doesn't go great.

If he plays next week I can totally see us lose against the Titans with Brissett throwing for 110 yds

I was at the game, almost left early but decided to stay. After the defense got a stop. Lots of empty seats.

Jets got to bogus pass interference calls. Thornton was clearly bumped hard right before that pass. Should of caught it anyway, but it was bullcrap that the ref did not call PI.

Defense played just well enough. Rodgers had some real nice passes. Jacoby still is terrible.

Listening to play by play on Sirius radio while driving, it wasn’t just that he took a hit to the head. He was examined in the blue tent and then sent directly to the locker room, and then declared out. So the examinations did not give him a clean bill of health.

Yes. Per policy of the NFL. The people in the blue tent are NFL people not team officials. Mayo said he asked to go back in the game.

We’ve already seen enough to know he’s ready, as soon as he has an adequate supporting cast around him.

All the threads discussing trade deadline strategy are saying sell everything, this season is lost.

So why risk Drake becoming the next Tua?

You have a point. Tua his situation was just egregious.. but yeah concussions are serious and we definitely want to protect Drake. I'm one to agree on selling everything. I had this discussion back in the camp with @PatsFan2 .. our secondary needed to be upgraded. Marcus is a slot CB and how many times do be have to see him get toasted on the outside for people to realize this. Jon still a solid veteran.. Dial is a rookie and IMO all the rookies shows be getting playing time now.

Personally, even though Maye said he wanted to back into the game, they said the protocol prohibited it. He might be able to play next week against TN, but I would sit him for that game just to be on the safe side, and TN isn't good. So, they have a chance even with Brissett.

Your correct. Problem is we aren't good either. Drake is the equalizer for us. It may come down to who sucks less Brissett or mayo-man Levis. One guy I'd say has a chance to be part of the LB corps going forward is Ellis. The guy can play.

From both videos I saw jester chest pad hit drake shoulder pad and impact caused his upper body to go to ground faster where head hit turf.

Not nice; but as others said Drake needs to slide earlier & nyJfl already has enough rules that force defenders on their back heels or make them pretend to know the future

2 seconds earlier Drake just ran thru THREE DEFENDERS!! Then he continues to run after the 1st down marker. How the heck is that guy supposed to know FOR SURE that Drane is about to slide??

Maye was actually in front of the OL on a run. Maybe if the WR's didn't have cement fingers he might have thrown it to someone instead.

It wasn't the OL that got him concussed it was our Anvil hands WRs. The OL didn't play that bad against a pass rushing Defense.

Tua has made everyone paranoid. Brady had multiple undiagnosed concussions, Josh Allen has had obvious undiagnosed concussions, I'm betting almost every QB has had a concussion. Aaron Rodgers had 2 concussions diagnosed in 2010 alone.
Despite all of that in all these years there is TUA as the outlier. It really is paranoia to be concerned for Drake Mayes future due to 1 concussion, that currently, and hopefully, looks minor in severity and was caused by an unusual hit to the back of the head.
He needs experience, the line has been solid lately, no reason to not play him.
Now if you want to tank for draft position, sit him. He's going to be great this year and next year and year after regardless.
These uber competitors are wired differently, he's not going to accept sitting.
