John Henry: Fan expectations are unrealistic

You have perfectly summed up my thoughts on the Red Sox situation perfectly. I salute you.
Good idea.

Good idea.

I'm in, Sun is well over the yardarm so it wouldn't even be hardcore day drinkin'
And if anything can drive us to drink it's the Sox!

(admittedly, I personally do not need to be driven very far)

I'm headed home soon to grill some venison steaks, I am sure there's going to be a beverage in there as well.

Best hustle it up my friend, you're in danger of falling behind.

Henry is right. Good players are expensive. Right now they have a loaded farm system, and some good young talent at the MLB level. Better to develop and pay your own studs than trade or get them in FA. Now they need a stud pitcher in FA but their position players are pretty damn good and if you haven't noticed they have the number 1 prospect in all of baseball in Roman Anthony.

Fans in general sucks ass and it's usually the dumbass media that makes it so. The future of the Red Sox is bright as the sun right now and sure it has taken some time but its about to pay off in a big, big way.

The Red Sox starting next season IF they get a ToR guy and upgrade the pen, are going to a wagon.

Whatever you say, Sam.

What can I say. Again they have a loaded farm system and the number one overall prospect in all of baseball. Instead of being excited about that, it's just a *****fest because they didn't get players who didn't want to come here. No Japanese player of any note will choose to come to Boston or the East coast..they want California. That goes for Yamamoto.

They are ToR starter and bullpen help away from going deep in next years playoffs. I'd much rather develop guys, and then pay them here then go after free agents outside of very, very specific ones. Thats how the Astros became the Astros. They sucked, sucked and then sucked some more and then developed their draft picks. Thats what's happening here right now.

I’ve lost faith that they will sign the homegrown talent. See the fall of the 2018 Sox team.
