They look like the team we saw in the Finals. Except Tatums 3 pt shot is better.
You can see ge really worked on it.
Gonna be fun watching these guys again this year.
DWhite from when he arrived in Boston now has improved so much its crazy. He was already damn good but now he's All-Star level with his confidence. Was last season too.One game in, but some noticeable changes:
-White is more aggressive on offense. This was apparent in the preseason as well. Looking for shots more now. Still not forcing but more alert on 3 attempts and also driving a bit more.
-Brown continuing to make better decisions on offense and is a beast on defense. Brown has become somewhat of a super glue guy like White…crazy.
-Tatum…well…if he can just increase his shooting pct by a few points, and reduce turnovers, he’s legitimately in conversation for best player in NBA. So tonight was promising. His shots just looked different. Even in some of his better games in the past, his jumper always seemed imprecise.
-Hauser had worked on the fake and dribble jumper and early returns are good.
That take was aging pretty poorly in real time but I do like Harlan and Reggie Miller. They were hilarious during the whole three point hunting sequence.I loved the two announcers (who I'm pretty sure are both NYers) raving about the Knicks chemistry, how awesome it was and they play the right way, no egos, just winning (interrupting to mutter 'Tatum for 3 and the Boston lead is now 29) and then going back to the Knicks knob polishing.
This is The Way.Celtics continue to run the offense through White and Holiday while Brown and Tatum patiently await their shot. Almost no forced shots, clear outs, and isos. All ball movement.
18 assists, 2 turnovers
