Mayo checked thier guts thier balls as men yesterday and they deserve it.. even as back ups they should have more pride. If getting checked as a man can't make them play with heart then they shouldn't be in the NFL.
When does mayos guys and balls get checked? This is the 4th straight embarrassing run defense game. What is he doing about it? Hie did he allow them to run18 straight times and not scheme a stop?
But it worked, he convinced you his players are ****ies in his view. That should really get them motivated to play for his 1-6 ass.

Good points. I want to also add the loss of Bryant as a tough run stuffing Player and the versatility of Mac Wilson is sorely missing.
Myles Bryant is sorely missed in run stuffing? Is this stand up comedy? LOL LOL You made me laugh. LOL Dude, you are hilarious. The Patriots are giving up 200 yards rushing a game and we are talking about Myles Bryant?

One I make all my post just to make you laugh LOL

I wonder if the defense is lacking veteran leadership. I remember last year that even after he went to IR, Judon was consistently on the sidelines during games. That is unprecedented for a Belichick team. I am wondering if Belichick kept Judon around to provide leadership for the team that may be lacking in some way. Without Judon and Bentley on IR, this team could not have enough veteran leaders to keep people in line and focused.

I am not excusing the coaching, but we have seen in the past that great veteran leadership from people like Bruschi, McGinest, Wilfork, Brady, etc. kept people in line, disciplined, and focused. The players held each other accountable.

This is why most people are blaming both the coaching and the personnel side too.

Kraft, Mayo, and Wolf failed this team from the jump.
What is your fact basis for each of the 3 guys being a failure? take em one by one.... Love to see facts and not assumptive negativism. Are you going to condemn the draft when we may have hit a home run on QB where teams all over the league take decades to get even a functional starter? Polk has talent and will be a decent player...but guess what... he's a rookie that's starting. Can you even really grade a draft in it's 1st year let alone Oct - Answer is no. Wolf and Free agency and not spending on the OTs when there was almost none worth a dime. None!!!! Plus...you can carry over the unspent cap to next year... and that's what they smartly did.... see what you have this year and then spend/trade etc. As well in FA, every player re-signed that was on the 2023 team was individually deemed a good move, even if some whiney fans condemned the team holistically in 'broad brush' fashion and can't understand how there was good players there to resign. That's the fans issue.

One.. who would you rather have myles away ?or marco wilson?. Give me myles away! Lol

The softness issue is personnel. Last year the Pats D was good. Media claimed it's the same D, but it's not.
Mayo just called them soft. Which media outlet does he work for? The coach of the team has called them out, not the media. It’s not manufactured drama.

Kraft - five years ago decided to replace the GOAT HC with a total coaching neophyte because he liked what he saw watching the new guy schmooze in an airport waiting lounge

Wolf - sat on cap space while whiffing on all the good FAs and signing a bunch of useless FAs, drafted a no-brainer consensus QB pick and a bunch of jags

Mayo - wanders the sidelines talking to nobody while his team gets pounded with no lube then publicly throws the players he didn’t coach up during the game under the bus after the game

Those are the facts you asked for. Now what?

I would say that. As bad as it looks now the only thing the organization go from here is up. This is what everyone expected. Week 1 fooled us. My feelings are I don't see them winning another game this season. Everything that could possibly happen to an NFL franchise has happened this season injuries, off field issues, poor coaching, bad front office decisions. Could guys play better? Absolutely! But the talent or coaching isn't effective right now. Mayo will have to coach his way out if it there is no one coming to save this franchise.

My bad I have no facts other than the unmitigated disaster we've been seeing all season.

Maye is the only thing that can save them right now. I give AVP some credit for developing him which is why he's not on my list.

Mayo has left pretty much all control of offense to AVP so he doesn't get credit for it.

And I don't give Wolf any credit for drafting him he took the 3rd QB with the 3rd pick any idiot could have done that.

Ultimately they will all get credit for Maye when we know if he's successful. Right now all we know is he's ready to play now and for now that credit belongs to him and AVP.

And Kraft can go F himself for firing Bill to begin with.

Your know your my guy.. but a HC takes blame and credit.. I'm fully embracing the **** on Mayo part because his defense has looked soft so they deserve it. However we have to tip our hat to him to make the call to play him and having him ready to play. Wether he defers to his coaches or not he still calls the shots on what he wants to do. We have to be fair.

Wilson is a much better athlete, but great in zone coverage like Bryant. I always err on the side of athleticism.
Fair enough. I saw growth in Bryant game he become a better player last season he was sure tackleler and was good playing the run.. I know the defense sucks this season but I don't see it with Wilson. I like his size and athletic ability but I see seldom play making from Wilson.

Big reason players improve is the coaching they get. Bryant improved last year. Wilson hasn’t, this year. Is that the players, or the coaching they’ve gotten?

I'll give you one out 2. Yes he most definitely was involved in when to play him so you got me there. But he himself has said that it's AVPs offense so I don't give him credit for being ready to play.

I did say that ultimately if he is successful they all will get credit. But just getting him ready to play falls on AVP and the other offensive coaches.

Wilson was a starter for Arizona? Had veteran experience? A veteran? So what happened to his game? Did the best secondary coach in the NFL pelligrino all of sudden not coach?? It's on the players to execute. The coaches can't do thier jobs for them!

I agree with you SBB.. I think the criticism is warrantted and I can't defend how the defense looks right now.. so your right that too falls on coaching.. however you are a fair poster and I give u credit to also realize that as do. Some poster on here are just looking for the chance to **** on Mayo because they never wanted him to begin with. But I can always respect fair criticism!
