They won’t give up on him this season. You don’t pick someone 3 overall to bench him for a late round pick the same season. That won’t happen. The front office and Mayo would be run out of town if they did that.

Watch Maye throw for 350 and 4 TDs on Sunday. Would be hilarious to see. I mean, I truly think he is the best QB out of this draft..yes Daniels in the moment appears to be better but I don't trust his body to hold up and over time Maye will be that guy.

I believe AVP, mayo being a first time OC and with everything being new we kinda expected this. I don’t think they’re back at practice til tomorrow so that’s the earliest Mayo could’ve told the team. However Schefter’s source is most likely the Krafts.

If he looks terrible, they won't keep rolling him out there and embarrass him.

Hopefully he has looked ready the last couple weeks and looks ready.

We are comparing much different circumstances Bryce was named the starting QB when he was drafted.. like Williams was.. so there was nothing for them to earn. Drake earned this.

He dealt with adversity at NC, he had to learn how a pro offense is run. Having him run for his life isn't "the best," that's absurd. Hopefully the offensive line makes some improvements in execution. They looked a little more functional in the second half last game but the Dolphin's D stinks.

Last year is a perfect argument against that it is the best. Maye regressed last year. He developed bad habits last year. He was far better in 2022 than 2023.

Mayo said to WEEI that he was planning on meeting with his staff.. this was yesterday.. I think this was organizational decision.

He was always a better passer, it was the huddle and pre-snap that needed work. If he tightened that stuff up, it can only look better.
