So when/how do we actually find out if the change will happen this week?

Wed practice reports? Will Mayo make an actual announcement? Or will we have to be left to wonder all week?

Who are these younger players?

Have you noticed between your non-stop arguing here that the team has made dramatic improvements on getting younger this season? You really have not observed that? Being so single minded and focused only on your ego of attempting to win every argument….oh **** it. Carry on.

Wallace didn’t see the field until they had no choice, same with Robinson. Maye is in purgatory.
We trot guys out there like Jordan, Osborne, Hooper, McMillan, Uche, Wilson, Hawkins, brissset, Bourne, Ekuale, etc etc and then a bunch of ps level younger guys who wouldn’t be on a winning roster.


Who exactly are these young players that we sacrificed a season because we wanted to see what could do?

We are a couple of dozen players away from being a very good team and why would you think they will suddenly sign high end free agents?

Polk has consistently been getting open on the -22. Boutte seems to be on a decent improvement track. Wallace was running as RT and not being terrible at it as a rookie. Robinson needs some work but there is something there as well.

The punter is legit. Gonzo is a lock down corner in what is for all practical purposes his rookie season. Mr Happy when he isn't screwing up, is a force on the line. if Barmore was healthy he would be even more impactful.

So yeah, there is a ton of growth from the young guys. As stated some people just can't see it.

Before yesterday Osborne played the most snaps at WR. Baker hadn’t seen field. Boutte was buried in the with chart before yesterday. That doesn’t sound like a screwed results play the kids plan.
Wallace was benched until we ran out of players.

I’m not saying we don’t have any young players, but aside from White and Gonzo most aren’t producing.

But the point I was making was the argument that we are bad because we didn’t want older guys and we sacrificed this year to let young guys play isn’t accurate.

I didn't read every comment in this thread, but it seems clear that there's an internal battle going on. It's Kraft's decision. If I had to guess: Mayo wants to play him, AVP and Wolf don't, and Kraft is processing. My guess is that Kraft ends up following the money and starts Maye. More excitement, more wins, more money. Let's just hope he doesn't get hurt. And, it might backfire another way: if Maye plays poorly, it could dampen enthusiasm for next season among the less attentive fans.

I'd like to think they are just being sneaky. Why let the other team know but that doesn't seem like our Managements style right now so I'm afraid we are waiting at least one more week.

Yeah you have a point.. but if he was going to start this week it would be more sensible where he'd already have a game under his belt as a stater heading over seas.. becuase I really am checked out on watching brissett. Man this is hard to keep watching when you're a fan.

Agree. Also the thing is if maye plays poorly it's ok becuase his upside is 10x more than what Brissett is. I'd rather watch maye have his struggles playing becuase he will only get better.

They have to. It was the plan all along. The team this year is cooked, and Maye won't win them many game this year, I don't think. Then again if he does and he rips off some wins and the make the playoffs? ROFL what a story that would be.
