I don’t know if he lasts the season even if we string together some semblance of a passing game with Maye.

Yeah and Pape opened a good topic on who's making the decisions within the organization.. I call it the honeymoon phase.. whenever you first start something everyone's open and willing to be open minded.. then when things get real like they are now you start having thoughts of regret. I believe Drake is tied to Wolf, mayo and avp. It's to the benefit of all 3 men that Drake shows his abilities win or loose.

The line wasn’t terrible yesterday for once. I mean, it wasn’t good and fell apart in the last drive, but it wasn’t terrible. It was passable enough that it shouldn’t be an excuse not to put Maye out there at this point. There may be other reasons not to, but this shouldn’t be one of them.

Im not sold on the O line after one game though. Its a roller coaster ride. Some weeks the defense we face will wreck us, the next week we may look competent. Consistency is key, and I dont have a lot of faith that our quality of line is good enough to support a rookie QB and keep him healthy long term.

With yesterday's results I would be semi shocked if Maye doesn't play. The owners, especially Bob, love the international games and want to look good on the world's stage. They'll play Maye to get him ready for London and to spark some semblance of interest.

I listened to that interview and interpreted it to be a little less damning to Brissett... But rather as a reassurance that they are open to starting Maye, but not imminently.
