Sow back will definitely help. Not sure what strange’s status is or how much we can expect from him, but if he can be back midseason and layden is still having issues in pass protection strange will be huge as well.

I wonder how much longer we do give layden. Guy is obviously a beast at times but if Drake is about to come in sooner than strange we might eventually need to shuffle things to the best pass blocking line. That may involve moving onwenu back to rg and cadean at rt if hes ready.
We need C Wallace of LT we have seen enough form V Lowe he has no business there now I'm convinced.

I thought Bill didn't like WRs. But Jacoby apparently hates them won't throw to them.
IF we are Running like we are Play-Action should be there it's just not adding up.

I threw up in mouth but we need both Sow and Strange back.

I think it's annoying whenever I see comments like "receivers aren't open". It's a lazy argument. From watching our game and all the other games I saw yesterday, receivers who caught balls weren't always wide open. A lot of times the QBs anticipated where the receivers where going to be or threw balls that allowed receivers to use leverage and catch it over a defender. Nico Collins' highest reception total was 37 his first two years and the Texans fans probably considered him a bust until Stroud became his QB. Now he looks like a stud because he has a QB who has the physical tools and mental aptitude to execute an offense.

I think they did pretty good. If they didn't miss the field goal, they could have won it without overtime. It's a rebuilding team, let's give them the whole year to see if they progress or regress over time.

Little K Murray hit Harrison Jr for 130 yards yesterday yeah QB play does matter. I think a guy like Maye with his various release points would elevate this Offense to another level.

I'm beating a dead horse but there is no way we can evaluate our WR's with a QB like Brissett he's too limited. Tyquan would be more visible if we play the right QB it's that easy.

Can we ship him back to minny for the 6th rounder? The Peter pan bus is already running for him.. he has to pick up chuks on the way..

The question is how much better would wallace be at LT than lowe? Its not his preferred position. It might help more having wallace and onwenu firmly on the right side with both on their natural positions with just LT the lone weak spot than having LT still potentially weak with wallace, onwenu at rt where hes ok but still struggling against speed rushers, and layden at rg still having breakdowns in pass protection. But this also relies on cadean being ready to play rt too.

And replace him with who?
Wallace he's a rookie and he was in there yesterday so may as well start him.. the team invested draft stock in him so play him. Lowe was traded for a pack of double mint gum.

Keep beating that Boney T drum, my man. He's going to Canton. Get him fitted for a gold jacket!

Don't forget our play caller and designer AVP.

Agreed. At this point, with such limited offensive innovation, AVP comes into focus. Is AVP in over his head?

What really pissed me off was the ease with which I could set my watch by merely waiting for Yet Another handoff to Stevenson on the first play of almost Every possession, if not almost Every series of downs… Every… Single… ****ING…TIME… Yeah butbutbut look how many yards he gained!! Not when it Really ****ing Mattered.

Well the season is here. We are who we thought we were….but as long as the team plays hard, they are playing for each other. That will carry a young team. But if we are 1-8 .. then obviously the barn doors are coming off. I’d rather a team that fights as a team. We will win some games that way.

Agree. Hopefully the offense will evolve

Yes. When Bentley went out the communication took a hit. Hard for me to ever blame the defense. It took Seattle to overtime to beat us. No Barmore no Bentley. Still had 3 sacks and pressure on Smith all game. The reffs did help bail Seattle out as well. However that's expected these days.
Let’s not pretend that Seattle wasn’t injured as well. Missing their starting LT and RB.

Wallace doesn’t seem capable of playing LT. Best to get him to RT, Onwenu back to RG, and Robinson/Sow at LG. Lowe is our LT for the year, and he’s better than last year (not saying much) but it is what it is.

I think he has sort of customized the Playbook for JB. At least I would think he has/should've. JB is limited in what he can do, it makes sense to me that the playbook would be a little different.
