Garrett Wilson will be a patriots player.. IMO. Rodgers won't last this entire season he even said in his espn Interview he contemplated retirement when he went down last season. If we can win this season.. when Drake takes over next year it will be a huge FA attraction.

He's going to have to prove himself. He could be Tom Brady 2.0 or he could be Josh Rosen 2.0. Right now, I like his chances of being more than serviceable, but he's going to have to go out there and prove it.

Absolutely agree. I was a proponent of him starting. However I was just in lust of wanting QB play that was watchable. However if Brissett can just keep being a game manager while Drake can continue to learn then I have full faith in the coaching staff to have Drake ready to go next season. Drake has top 5 QB talent. He will have to put it all together when he takes over. It important we stack wins.. just like us as fans.. players watch too.

Lockett has got to be what 33? J. Jones can hang with him. Or maybe Marcus?
I watched the Denver-Seattle game. He didn’t look bad yesterday for an old guy. He was the receiver on Malcom’s SB pick.

Unreal

Its early and there is a lot of overreaction, but this Rogers/Jets thing could not have gone much worse unless Rogers was visiting NJ massage parlors.

I appreciate the cliche, but I'd also like to point out that Cincinnati tried this, stacking 8 and 9 in the box most of the game.
Stevenson's a much better player than most people realize.
Seahawks defense is much better than the Bengals

Sure it's only one week, but the Jets defense has been doing this for years now. Not only are they susceptible to the run, but they have also been using the "no QB" excuse when they can't stop a competent offense.

I'll wait until half way through the season to see if Rodgers knocks off the rust. If he doesn't, the team is toast, won't make the playoffs and Saleh will finally get fired.
I don't see the allure of Saleh.

Last night he just stood there like Todd Boyles with no expression.

Normally sure, but the pass protection was so bad, he didn't even have time on hard playaction plays. I think they ran 5, it was like 2-5 for 20-something yards.
Brissett missed multiple receivers open downfield. He is just too afraid and too conservative. That’s why he doesn’t make many mistakes but also why he doesn’t make any plays. And that’s also why he is a backup QB.

Lockett had a 85.7% catch rate vs Denver.

As Mayo said 'it is only one game'. This is still going to be a tough year year, best to keep expectations reasonable to be able to enjoy it for what it brings.
As always !! We got spoiled around here. To think 19-0 was almost a possibility and now we talking 1-3 start. We’ve had our cake, anything, absolutely anything after this 20 year run is just …I don’t even have the words. I’m hoping for this team to put its best effort game in game out. Whatever happens happens. Don’t expect to be the old laughing stock patsies, but not the powerhouse we were. Maybe just maybe … we get to the Super Bowl one more time in my lifetime. Maybe

There will never be another Tom. Even Kermit has many things to go right before he’s in any conversation to the GOAT.

Agree. But not throwing ints keeps us in the game. Let someone else win it if you won’t risk losing it I guess.

Yes I remember I think that was his rookie season no?

Oh I know. But I'm just going by the eye test. For those whose watched the game it just didn't look like he was in sync with Wilson. Wilson is a guy who could easily put up 1,500 a season. He's that good. However more surprising was the defense. They lost some key guys in the off season and it showed.

You also counting on the other team to sh*t the bed also. We played a near perfect game, the Bengals were awful but still ended up having the ball in their hands with 3 minutes left with a chance to win the game.

It’s a tough way to live every week

Rodgers didn’t played competitive football for a year and a half. Unfortunately I think they’ll get better every week. Week 3 isn’t a bad spot playing them like the Bengals

Oh definitely agree. Don't get me wrong he's still a hell of a QB first ballot HOF. It's early.. but 40 coming off a major injury. I do think thier offense will be dangerous by say week 8.

I think Rodgers' lack of mobility is really going to be an issue going forward as it is for every QB who relies on their legs to move around a lot. He won't be as effective and that will show as the season goes on.

Looking at this weekend's games, and how the Pats looked, I'm re-evaluating the Pats' projected win total a bit.
Extended preseason - evaluate again after three weeks of actual games. The current "preseason" doesn't count for much other than extended walkthroughs and drills anymore so we won't know much about what this team really is yet.

I also don't expect Brisset to survive another pounding like he took this week so I anticipate we're more likely to see Maye by no later than week four at this rate. Hopefully the OL starts to gel before the terror means we see Milton by week six.
