Yeah the Jets did not look good. Rodgers was shaky and their defense looked pretty poor. I mean, McCaffrey didn't even play and they still got completely abused in the run game. Pats should be able to do that to them too in their game which is only 9 days from now (with another game in between)

I hear McCaffrey could be out a few weeks. If they are one dimensional vs us maybe we have a better chance vs them too. #4-0

I heard the same thing. Those calf injuries can we long term issues. Be nice if he did sit out. That game is in 2 weeks. The Jets allowed the RB yesterday to look like beastmode did.

I appreciate the cliche, but I'd also like to point out that Cincinnati tried this, stacking 8 and 9 in the box most of the game.
Stevenson's a much better player than most people realize.

He is. Guys don't want to tackle him by the 3rd quarter. I personally think it's a great thing to have teams play more in the box. I think we'll see more screens and deep crossing patterns where the TEs and WRs can have room behind the LBs as the safeties have to play up.

Division games against rivals are always tougher.

Jets lost some impact guys from thier front. Notably huff.. that guy is a force. Quinnen Williams was getting doubled and triple teamed. Garrett Wilson still doesn't look completely on the same page with Rodgers. Hopefully when he's FA he will be perfect for Maye daye..

If the Patriots had an average pass-blocking line, yes.
I saw David Andrews 5 yards short of getting out on a screen. I saw 2-5 on playaction throws. My point is, I think even the normal beaters you would have against those looks are out the window, because the pass protection is that bad.

From that observation that is likely why AVP wasn't calling them. Also it was week 1.. the offense is still getting settled. The most important thing is they ran the ball, and committed to it eve. When teams know it. I'm sure adjustments will be made Sunday and going forward. I'd like them to put up more than 16 points. I'm optimistic.

Looking at this weekend's games, and how the Pats looked, I'm re-evaluating the Pats' projected win total a bit. I feel like they definitely have a shot to beat any of the below teams. Plus, maybe they'll steal another one or two from a team you wouldn't expect, like Cincy. Is a 7 or 8 win season in the cards?

-Bears
-Colts
-Cardinals
-Chargers
-Dolphins (once)

The Pats might have a better WR corps than the Jets. Rogers was supposed to come in and make regular WRs household names like Brady and Mahomes.

The Pats might have a better WR corps than the Jets. Rogers was supposed to come in and make regular WRs household names like Brady and Mahomes.

Garrett Wilson will be a patriots player.. IMO. Rodgers won't last this entire season he even said in his espn Interview he contemplated retirement when he went down last season. If we can win this season.. when Drake takes over next year it will be a huge FA attraction.

I'll wait until half way through the season to see if Rodgers knocks off the rust. If he doesn't, the team is toast, won't make the playoffs and Saleh will finally get fired.

Jets were top 5 in defense last season? They lost some key guys notably huff. Thier safeties are average at best. Sauce is great player ,but undersized in run support he needs to add some muscle to his frame. Quinnen and his brother Quincy are 2 of thier most disruptive players. I just think it was a bad game plan from Saleh. Rodgers and Wilson still don't look in sync to me.

As Mayo said 'it is only one game'. This is still going to be a tough year year, best to keep expectations reasonable to be able to enjoy it for what it brings.
