The idea of the Jets competing for the Super Bowl was hilarious to begin with, but the safest week 1 reaction is to know this team will not do that.

Rodgers is not who he was, and who he was for all the silly GOAT talk (remember the goat vs goat game?) he only won one in the 2010 down year of the NFL. He’s become a footnote for all the sports media wanking it over Mahomes once they realized he wasn’t an actual threat.

Maybe one of Rodgers’ wilderness isolation retreats can help them win enough games to sneak in the playoffs, but otherwise, nothing is happening.

You mean like when Garoppolo mopped up for Brady in the "We're onto Cincinnati" game?

If we look we can probably find a number of examples of Brady getting pulled from hopeless games. 34-10, 2018, loss to Titans. He sat last year for the Bucs while getting beat by the Falcons. Let's not get silly. Blowouts happen. Sometimes it's best to live to fight another day.

‘not who he was’ ? Hahaha. Who he was - a QB who made the SB once in his career and was dragged there by his D. You got it right here. AR is, and has been, a loser. Who even cares that he gets pretty regular season stats ? The ultimate goal of winning the MVP is probably more important to this self important SOB than hoisting a trophy.

Boy that Jets defense looks terrible. They sneakily lost a few guys of impact. I never thought they'd allow 30 points to a team. They got run on all game. Also the knock on McAfree has been injury. Reports he has a concerning calf injury. Those things can put a player on IR. This bares watching we see SF in a few weeks.

Huff, and Reddick is holding out. Sauce needs to add some weight on his slender frame he was getting trucked by the back. That Jets defense looks terrible. Also thier LBs are getting older quinnen Williams getting doubled and trippled.

Geez, i pretty much assumed these kind of trades were done with some kind of agreement in place on a new deal with the new team. I thought financials was the main reason he was traded from Philly!

It's the same situation as judon. He wants a extension. However Reddick has been away away from the team. Personally I'd love to have him.

Like @Real fan 02 said, it was similar to the Judon trade. However Judon was at least saying “I really want a new deal, but I’ll play on my current one - I just won’t be happy about it.” Whereas the Jets traded for Reddick, who was saying “I refuse to play on this deal.” So what did the Jete front office do? Leave his deal as-is. He came to New Jersey and proceeded to never show up and continues to not show up. What a trade
