Ya this doesn’t look like a bunch of guys that plan to tank this year.
I did not think they would have won today
Saying that
I hoped we lost games last year to get a high caliber QB
I refuse to root to lose anymore
If they draft higher this year, it means there is hope
And losing sucks
Having said this I still want Maye in week 5I really would like to say great job to JB. Not a great game as a QB, but I feel really good for him. He has always been a tough Sum Bich, and does not turn the ball over very often. I also love the fact that Mayo went with JB and showed confidence in him.
JB showed well against the blitz for the most part. Just the fact that he has worked hard for 9 years in not always easy situations is a testament to his mental toughness
Yes of courseHaving said this I still want Maye in week 5
Truth of the matter is there were a lot of breaks that went their way, also the Bungles suck on opening day. Doubt the former holds true for much longer. Yes you can make your own luck in some ways, but thats going to be hard to keep up. The one thing that bodes well is the operation. It went off flawlessly and that will keep you at least in many games.
They definitely don’t win without a couple lucky breaks. But some of it was making their own luck too. And like the saying goes, “luck” is when preparation meets opportunity. The Patriots were prepared and the Bengals, who are supposed to be Super Bowl contenders, weren’t. It definitely bodes really well for this staff, especially considering it was their first game ever and on the road too.Truth of the matter is there were a lot of breaks that went their way, also the Bungles suck on opening day. The Bungles were missing one of their big weapons and had a QB coming back from 10 months off. They definitely don’t win without a couple lucky breaks. But some of it was making their own luck too. And? Who gives a ****? The Patriots weren’t missing their number 1 WR too? Burrow gets a free pass because he hurt himself a long damn time ago? Dude should have been better prepped. And that’s not just on the players, that’s a coaching failure. The Bungles were missing one of their big weapons and had a QB coming back from 10 months off.
LOL, the Pats don't have a number 1 WR either. And? Who gives a ****? The Patriots weren’t missing their number 1 WR too? Burrow gets a free pass because he hurt himself a long damn time ago? Dude should have been better prepped. And that’s not just on the players, that’s a coaching failure.
Yep. While I agree winning because two (3?) fumbles went your way isn't consistently replicable, it doesn't take away the merit from the win. As we saw last season, sometimes you can be so inept that you still get beat when those things go your way. They definitely don’t win without a couple lucky breaks. Thats why I am not overly geeked up about this game. Things I was looking for didn't really happen ie Polk was pretty much MIA, Boutte got no run and the tackles, well Lowe for instance was just okay. Thornton looked pretty good but that bar is very low. It will be interesting to see the film breakdown because I remember thinking Polk was NFL open plenty of times just never saw the ball.LOL, the Pats don't have a number 1 WR either.
I dunno. The Bengals put up some numbers in the second half and the Pats had virtually no answers. But to the Pats credit, the played smart football and didn't hurt themselves.
There were a lot of free rushers in the backfield. Jacoby didn't have a ton of time back there.Thats why I am not overly geeked up about this game. Commanders will def be worse than us as well.Best (worst) we can be his season in pick #3, I think Panthers are lock for #1, Giants #2waa
His name is Kendrick Bourne if you forgot… he isn’t “a” number 1, but he’s their top guy.LOL, the Pats don't have a number 1 WR either.
