Mayo is a puppet

We have......

It's not as if the Krafts installed a "lawyer and executive with the team’s ownership group to be executive vice president of football business and senior adviser to new head coach Jerod Mayo."

Thunder and Thunder Jr. have retaken command of their vessel after Captain BB kept running her aground these past years.
Total budget control.
Compliant underlings.
No more tight Inner Circle / Friends & Family leadership clique who were completely loyal and subservient to the former HC.
The organization has never been more compartmentalized
The CIA and KGB are no doubt impressed by the extraordinary puppeteering going on at Patriots Place

Assume a whole metric buttload of facts not in evidence.

The Patriots spent a lot of cash this offseason, I feel like because you assumed that it meant external FA's that is not a Mayo issue. Maye outplayed JB in preseason games, but that does not mean he is the best QB to start the season. The 1st month of the season has some pretty good defenses and will put out things that Maye probably has not seen, but JB has in his 8-9 years in the NFL thus he might be the best QB option for this team.

Copy?? Rogerthat

They spent a ton of money this offseason? LMAO... like on the OC that another team isn't paying? Or the WR that they never signed? Or was it the starting LT used to shore up our o-line? Or was it the NFL starting caliber QB with a career record over .500?
Oh- wait- none of that ever happened!

You tell em’ Rog. The ****ing Patriots could have had Baker Mayfield for only 100 million, and he’s a total winner, with a 42-47 career record, and he’s even 2-2 in the playoffs. They could be cruising, with a deadly Mayfield/Ridley attack, which would have easily put them in a dead heat with K.C., and instead they screw us with a rookie and some kids playing wide out. Even Felger and Mazz are down on them. I’m out, I need to go have a good cry.

If fans can’t see that the intern from optimum is nothing more than a puppet for the krafts he is not qualified to be a dc let alone a hc ….the media in Boston has become soft except for felger who is right on about him …0-17 is in the table
Go brush your teeth in the toilet ...
Remove all the sh!t you spewed in this thread ... then flush ... twice.

He will make mistakes as the season goes ... but he is no puppet.

So I watched the game today and at the risk of repeating myself I just have to reiterate how amazingly lifelike Mayo seemed. Especially in the lockeroom afterwards, incredible animatronics.

Great call. It took Mayo 1 game to end that prediction.

You should have known you were on the wrong track when you said “ Felger is right…” I noticed you left Mazz out for some reason?

Y’all wanted to throw Mayo into the garbage before he coached one game.

Yep. Vrabel had no more experience than Mayo did when he took over Tennessee and people were clamoring for him to be named head coach. Mayo can’t be Belichick because no one can be Belichick, and his assistants that got HC jobs and tried to be Belichick failed miserably in doing so. None of us know whether he can be successful until he is given a real chance. He’s going to make mistakes, but so does every coach. And a feel good win his first time out doesn’t guarantee success any more than a loss would have guaranteed failure, although loud mouthed know nothing assholes like Felger would have been crowing about how right they were had Burrow led the Bengals to the win on the last drive.

Bottom line, although many will ignore it out of their never ending need to be aggrieved, Mayo deserves 3 years to show that he can either succeed or fail as their head coach. My position on this year remains the same, it’s not so much about their wins and losses as it is about changing the culture to one where they are clearly playing their asses off every game. Playing like it matters to them, which has been lacking since Brady left. And as far as that test goes yesterday was a total win. It wasn’t pretty, and it won’t be for a while to come, but they ran right at them, didn’t make many mistakes, and played excellent defense. Those are marks of a tough, focused team. So chalk one up for becoming a tough team to play, at least for this week, but they still have to do that at least 16 more times. If they can do that even 3/4 of the time Mayo will have had a successful rookie season as a head coach. Then the bar will get raised next season, as wins and losses will become the criteria for him to keep his job. Mayo is a good guy, and I honestly can’t understand why any Patriot fan would be rooting against him. So stop listening to loud mouthed assholes on Boston Sports Radio, and watch them play and come to your own conclusions.

And Felger is never right, he’s just a contrarian ******* who takes whatever position he believes will piss the most people off. This means he is never right because he actually doesn’t believe the **** that comes out of his mouth, he just says it to drive the clicks. And he may get paid well, but making a career out of being a deliberate ******* is a sad way to go through life.

Whoever is puppeteering him, they did a damn good job! Let’s hope they keep it going and their arms don’t get tired next week
