My tradition with wife and daughter is to visit Patriots place on my bday (or bday weekend) next week and I usually buy a jersey after a nice lunch (and a few too many beverages).

Mr. Keion White , you will be this years purchase.
The number is sick too. #99 is a badass jersey

Not sure why?????

A BB disciple just coached the team to a win.

A BB disciple just ran the defense to almost shut out a preseason SB contender.

A BB draft pick QB led the offense to low respectable finish.

The game plan used was classic BB.

BUT ALL THAT SAID; Can we just let it go (all the TB and BB comparison crap & hate).

-Let’s just enjoy the new Pats and for 6 days revel in …“tied for first place in the division „
No one sane argues what BB once was.

The argument is that he was NO LONGER what he was for some reason.

I think we just saw a throwback BB game plan actually executed because AVP is a better OC than Patricia was and the players bought into the gameplan and coaching staff.

Great defensive win but you don't wanna overreact that was classic Bungles week 1 who threw up all over themselves but we never apologize for a win, i'm excited to see if they can repeat it going forward starting next week.

As far as I could tell, yes - they had sufficient separation. Brissett is just not accurate and slow on his reads
First part I agree with, he's not accurate. He's not slow on his reads though, his reads are fine. KJ Osborn did a lot of screwing up the operation out there today. That, you'll see on the all-22.

Brissett did just enough while riding the back of Stevenson to put this one away.

This is exactly what Brissett wins look like. Hang in there, take advantage of a couple key plays and run the rock, run the rock, run the rock. Brissett is good for about 1-2 key drives where he looks like a professional. If you ask too much of him he will fail. If the team falls behind, Brissett won't bring them back. But he can play possession football and nurse a lead like nobody's business, chew up time and manage the game and not turn the football over.

Brissett is solid if you let im be Brissett. if you want him to be Brady, that ain't happening.

Great start for the new regime. If nothing else we know the line has the capacity to run block
That is an important consideration, at least to me.

Mayo wins in his HC debut, while Mac Jones lost his first game in the NFL when he failed to bring the Pats back against the Dolphins.

Yeah small sample, but it is nice to start a career on an up note.

never a doubt.

In total agreement. And as bad as the pass protection was (and make no mistake, it looked absolutely brutal), I'd say he did a pretty decent job, including a couple of big 3rd down conversions with his legs.

Who knows our conservative game plan can work in the first 4 weeks when better teams try to shake off rust and commit too many mistakes / turnovers. Can we dream of 2-2 or 3-1 before maye starts over.

Keion White looks like he could be a serious player. Love his versatility and what he could do going forward. Great pick
My boy Marcus looked good too. Little guy made a couple big hits early in the game too. Good play from the whole D obviously.

Rham I felt like made a couple real tough runs to bail out the OL but the OL held up way better than anyone expected too. Rham is the man getting a couple yards even when there's nothing there saved a couple drives.

Schooler, Slye, and Captain Cardona and we clearly won the STs battle.

Going to need a little more out the passing game but this type of play will keep us in a lot of games and get us more wins than most expect.

Maye is not ready. Everything I saw in the preseason suggests that he needs time in the oven. The eye is there, the instincts are there, but he's tentative on his throws and doing a lot of soft tossing. Brissett isn't terribly accurate but at least he can step into his throws, Maye in the preseason really didn't show that.
^^^THIS^^^

Chill the jets on playing Maye. This is a bridge year, it won’t hold him back to bring him along slowly.

OL pass blocking was mediocre at best. After Rham, Jacoby is the reason the Pats won this game. Pass blocking may improve but will not likely become dominant without an infusion of talent, and that won’t happen this year. The idea that playing Maye is essential for his development overlooks that development being behind bad pass blocking. Is it really that important and useful to develop his skills at escaping or being hit or throwing it away or dumping it off? He will get enough of those anyway, no need to give him a crash course on being a tackling dummy.

So, it’s basically the same team as last season, same personnel, same type of game, low scoring, slow tempo … the difference being that the team wasn’t saddled by Mac freakin’ Jones and instead of eeking out a loss, they came out on the winning end (largely because Mac wasn’t here to turn the ball over half a dozen times).

I’m going to feel rather bitter if Belichick was ****-canned without being given an opportunity to coach a full season without Mac Jones, and if the team that he built goes on to have success with a different QB.

And to be clear, a large part of that bitterness is rooted in the fact that Kraft unconditionally supported Jones and forced Belichick to go down with him. If BB died on the Jones’ hill by himself, fair play to oust him, but BB didn’t die on that hill; the owner put him in an impossible situation where BB was forced to ride out Jones at Kraft’s request, but in the process of appeasing the owner, hammered a nail in his own coffin. Yuck.

All my personal griping aside, congrats to the team for an impressive win. The same core guys who contributed today have been here for awhile; the team simply needed QB play that wasn’t atrocious in order to win.
I love BB as the greatest coach of all time, but he sealed his fate when he made Fatty Matty Patty and Judge OC and whatever and then said they are good coaches so they will do well wherever we put them (or something similar to that).

I think 2-2 has to be the realistic aim now, almost everyone who had the Patriots winning even 3-5 games had that Seattle game as a win.

I'd love to be able to see the all 22 game film because my only concern so far is this: are the WRs getting open?
Does it matter if there’s no pass plays called because there’s no time to throw?

Fair. Bengals notorious slow-starters.

But a W is a W.

And I’m not sure the Pats can’t beat Seattle at home.
