Mayo is a puppet

Puppet is an extreme word, but I do get the sense the Krafts are unwilling to ever put themselves again in a situation where one other man holds so much power in their business.
Then they are going to learn the hard way that winning is the business.

For me player buy-in is above all else .. Joe wasn't given a chance either ...
the team brass evaluated the man ... sound familiar? Mayo deserves a chance.

If fans can’t see that the intern from optimum is nothing more than a puppet for the krafts he is not qualified to be a dc let alone a hc ….the media in Boston has become soft except for felger who is right on about him …0-17 is in the table

Feel free to not watch and just do Fantasy Football, making sure to not bother with any Patriot such as Rhamondre Stevenson, Antonio Gibson or Pop Douglas. And you don't have to post anymore either..

Anyone who touts FELGER has rotted their brain with drug residue from other's left-overs.

I don't see him morphing into meddlesome Jerry Jones.
Do you recall the years 1995-2000? One coach got so fed up, he took another job before a Super Bowl, and then the other coach was undermined for three years by players going up the back stairs, and having no say in the personnel.

Bob Kraft was on that track. It's not morphing, it's reverting, except this time his son's right there along side making the calls.

In another timeline, the Jets don't go to the AFCCG in 1998 without both Bill's.

I've wondered how the late 90's Pats would've done had Parcells stayed? Had they continued drafting well and stayed healthy, they would've met the Broncos multiples times in the AFCCG.

Yeah, in one of the iterations of the Multiverse, Parcells stays, they win after replacing Max Lane. Belichick comes back after the Cleveland becomes Baltimore and the defense stays dominant. Curtis Martin and Drew Bledsoe go to the HoF as Patriots.

I think they would've given Denver a really hard time by 1998. Pats had some serious firepower on both offense and defense and I'm confident Parcells would've added to it.

But I agree about the OL, it needed some upgrades pretty much everywhere. Parcells built one hell of an OL in New York.

I do not believe you are a Patriot fan ... this is a troll thread ... u got 7 pages for it ... well done.

As for Felger ... he doesn't believe much of what he says ... you fall for it or whore it ... that's on you.
It's a show ... he take's the contrarian view ... all for ratings and he and Mazz are unabashed by it all.

Mayo has been the opposite of transparent.

He said the team was going to burn cash. He said the best QB would play.

Giving disinformation is not transparency.
The Patriots spent a lot of cash this offseason, I feel like because you assumed that it meant external FA's that is not a Mayo issue. Maye outplayed JB in preseason games, but that does not mean he is the best QB to start the season. The 1st month of the season has some pretty good defenses and will put out things that Maye probably has not seen, but JB has in his 8-9 years in the NFL thus he might be the best QB option for this team.

Copy?? Rogerthat

He could be the worse coach of all time or the next GOAT coach or anything in between let's see how it goes how's that sound?

One way or another the Krafts have a responsibility to run the team. Clear accountability is most important when establishing the post BB era. If they are going to be involved in football decisions they need to step up and establish themselves as the unquestioned place where the buck stops. Pretending to be hands off while being involved is meddling. I am afraid that we are back to the Pete Carroll years.

We have......

It's not as if the Krafts installed a "lawyer and executive with the team’s ownership group to be executive vice president of football business and senior adviser to new head coach Jerod Mayo."

Thunder and Thunder Jr. have retaken command of their vessel after Captain BB kept running her aground these past years.
Total budget control.
Compliant underlings.
No more tight Inner Circle / Friends & Family leadership clique who were completely loyal and subservient to the former HC.
The organization has never been more compartmentalized
The CIA and KGB are no doubt impressed by the extraordinary puppeteering going on at Patriots Place

Mayo is a **** coach, he has had the job how long and does not have any wins. Clown coach

This was sarcasm and no actual clown coaches were harmed in the making of this comment.

Give him at least 2 years to show progress unless the first year is a complete disaster.

We know the OL is terrible so we can't blame him if the offense struggles.

Defense has some good players. They need to be competitive in that area.

I'm predicting a 4 win season but if the team shows progress I'm okay with that.
