I don’t see how we are competitive at 4,5,6. What teams have weaker 4,5,6?
It’s like you can name them so that makes them depth.
So we have the worst#1. We have probably the worst 2 ( who is actually 1 because who knows if Bourne will even play anytime soon) we gave a second year 3 who you have hope for and beyond that no one who has really done much.
Can you name which team you think we compare favorably to?
Seriously?Let's do a side-by-side comparison vs. the Eagles (they are a top 10 WR room
for sure):
A.J. Brown > Kendrick Bourne
Devonta Smith > Tyquan Thornton
Jahan Dotson < Pop Douglas
Paris Campbell/John Ross/Johnny Wilson < Jaylnn Polk/KJ Osborn/Javon Baker
Now slide down all Pats WR's except for Pop....we would be weaker at WR2 still...but not many teams have the luxury of a Devonta Smith at WR2.
But if we added a FA WR like say.....Lamb/Higgins/Aiyuk/Cooper/Godwin.... plus drafted one in the first 3 rounds in 2025....we would be up to par and deeper than most NFL teams just like that...
IOW, we have WR depth...just not top level game breaking WRs yet....
You wanted him to trade a 3rd for Dotson? He got Osbone for free, dont understand this take at all.Sleepy Elliott dozes while other teams try to get better
Eagles are stacked at every position and they still try to get better
Howie loves big name players
Meanwhile Sleepy Elliot signs Kobie Jones and Matt Landers

You think our WR room is close to the Eagles?
If baker and Polk can’t rise about 4 of 5 then they aren’t any better than anyone. They wouldn’t be depth. Bourne and Thornton as 4 and 5 wouldn’t excite anyone.
You really tried to compare Bourne and Thornton to Brown and Smith. Wow.
I agree with one thing. If we had different players, we would be better.
So much pent up frustration in you. You might want to look into edibles, not as harsh on the lungs.Sleepy Elliott dozes while other teams try to get better

This is an old and tired narrative, but I will play. Who were they supposed to spend the money on? Is this the point you tell me they could have improved the LT position and you name Smith or Jonah Williams? Smith wasn't coming here because he wanted to play with AROD and hopefully win. Jonah Williams is such a good LT that the Bengals moved him to RT and the cards are keeping him there.No. I’m not concerned with this move I’m concerned with the thinking that our roster is so good we weee smart to stand pat and save $50,000,000

I am being serious everyone is like we should have spent more but on who?
Thank you for providing names of players we were probably going to over pay for. We were a 4 win team last year, mainly due to our QB,OL and WR. Positions addressed in draft were QB, OL and WR. So we are in a rebuild and they are trying to build a foundation of core players, which is done through the draft mainly and FA is to supplement. You will quickly run out of money if you try and buy your foundation and since we did not really have a foundation there was nothing to supplement. We could have improved up and down the entire roster.
Are you telling me we are so stacked and loaded with talent that there aren’t players who could make our 4 win team?
Literally NFL teams squeeze out every penny of the cap to get the best roster they can, but we had 50,000,000 and there was no one good enough for us. Remarkable what people convince themselves of.
I’ve have provided names many times. How do you quickly run out of money when you don’t seriously pursue improving your team?Thank you for providing names of players we were probably going to over pay for. I assume that early on when Wolf said they wanted the younger folks to play it is to determine what they have going forward. bringing in high priced players would have negatively affected the development of younger guys in those positions. I would have loved for them to sign Wilkins, Murphy-Bunting, Greenard, Noah Fant as well as others. I will agree that we have different styles of team building.
I like the fact that they signed several of our own FAs and gave out extensions. Because they were a 4 win team does not mean that they did not have good players. We did not have many players under contract for 2025 and 2026 so, that is also a factor, I imagine that impacted their FA journey.
I haven't seen any of the names and I am not going to go look, I will just believe you made good choices. We do know they pursued a couple of bigger WR's beyond that I am not sure where you would want them to go. The defense was pretty good last year and aside from Wilkins and maybe Murphy Bunting or Carlton Davis to pair with Gonzo, but it seems they want to see what they have with some of the younger guys and Jon Jones is returning.I’ve have provided names many times. So your argument is the best way to build a team is not acquire good player but throw your 4 win team out there so you get to see if they are any good?
You are good with putting 75%of a team out there because trying to improve is a bad idea?
The entire roster needs upgrading. I’m not talking about a player or 2 I’m talking about maximizing the talent on the resort by using the resources we just chose not to.I haven't seen any of the names and I am not going to go look, I will just believe you made good choices.
