Sleepy Elliott dozes while other teams try to get better

Eagles are stacked at every position and they still try to get better

Howie loves big name players
Meanwhile Sleepy Elliot signs Kobie Jones and Matt Landers

Don't get being upset over this one. Dotson is another "meh" WR. Unless the rookies are just total busts despite fairly optimistic reports of how they look in camp, I don't think we're hurting for bodies at WR. I actually think we have a surplus of depth there. We don't need #3/#4 WR types and depth below, we need legit #1 or even #2 types. That's not Dotson. He'd be just another body in the mix. I wouldn't have given up a 3rd rounder for him.

The Eagles are competing for a championship. The Pats are at the very beginning of a long rebuild.

If you can't see the difference, I don't know what to tell you.

Sometimes I swear people decide to get mad first, and then actually evaluate a situation later (if at all). Like, we get it, you think Wolf is ****. That doesn't mean every move another team makes is somehow a failing on his part.

KJ Osborn had better numbers last year than Dotson. He's not worth dishing a 3rd rounder for, especially for a team that is starting a rebuild.

No matter what stage you are at you nee md good football players. We are where we are because we dint have enough good football players. We really havent tried much to fix that, including saying no thanks to spending as much as the cap allows on football players.
If you say we don’t want to get good football players because we don’t have good football players, we will be stuck in the basement a long time.

I guess we can hope to be lucky.

Jahan Dotson ? Who?

The guy was a 16th overall pick, they gave away in division for a 5th rounder. That should tell you everything you need to know about this player. 500 yards, less than 50 receptions, twice. @203Pat is right, there's a room full of those guys here already. Pass.

Edit: My bad. Dotson and a 5th for a 3rd an two 7ths. This is a meh deal for a guy that won't be in the league in 2 seasons.

Are you not aware of what we offered Brandon Aiyuk and Ridley??

But not going after the 500 yard wr really stings
Have we really gotten to the point where we are satisfied that we tried to get players and didn’t? The Kraft PR machine is incredible.

Yeah, I am satisfied. Those are good players but they are not premier or elite WRs. They need to show they have a good enough QB to get these diva wideouts the ball before a true elite receiver will come here. It's grow your own or overpay until then.

Another day another load of whiny ass BS. This **** is now getting beyond stupid, at least invent an affront worthy of notice ffs. If Wolf had coughed up a 3rd rounder for a JAG 3/4 WR the ***** would then be 'That dumbass essentially traded Judon for A F"N JAG WR!!!"
We get it, you're upset you're once again unlikely to get the February Duck Boat Parade that is your thrice a decade birthright as a Pats fan. Think of the children!!! We have kindergartners who've never known a Pats SB parade!

Yes, they have their list of players they chose to pursue and are not panic spending on a player they don’t value as highly if their choices don’t work out. I am fine with this.

So we don’t want to get players and try to win until we have his players? Do you not see the illogic in that.

Are you really telling me that when last season ended and you considered what you hoped would happen this off season, they outdid what you hoped for?

You're right... if only we had traded a 3rd rounder (Judon's value) for Dotson... he would have lead the team to the promised land... If only we could find players like him. No chance any of our guys already on the roster achieve.... (checks notes) 500 yards a season like him. What could have been...

We are deep at WR....I'd even say too deep...

So short of a true #1 elite receiver....we are good to go.
Deep how?
Who is the wr1, wr2, wr3, wr4, wr5, wr6 and which of them are better than what other teams have at that slot?

Which one deserves to be higher but is held back by the talent keeping them off the field?
