They're not conceding anything.

No one is conceding anything. The only thing that's nuts is thinking that they're a super bowl caliber team in the next 3 years.

But yes I would trade anybody on this team right now if it built up the team in a better spot in 3 years and we're currently heading towards

We need an entire offensive line, we need a number one and a number two wide receiver, and we're probably going to need some defensive lineman by the time we can make those adjustments.

This team is completely drained of any serious talent
He literally called out everyone who has expectations of being competitive in the next 3 years not sure how else I'm supposed to interpret that but whatever.

This team isn't winning a Superbowl in the next 3 years.

That's not a concession. That's a fact. That doesn't mean you don't start making progress towards your goals.

I can't think of anyone other than Patrick who's won a Superbowl with their QB in their rookie contract since maybe big Ben.

The steelers needed to rebuild after Big Ben retired. To their credit they did not tank like the Patriots clearly are this year.

I liked Judon as a player and his personality and his interaction with the fans. I see both sides of the argument as far as should we have resigned him or traded him.

I think it’s good that we traded him for a 3rd because we didn’t spend all the money we had this off-season, if they had spent money and improved the team then I would’ve been all in for giving him a bump in pay this season. I’m not sure why they didn’t extend him last season when they were in this same situation.

Like half of the Super Bowls won this century were won by players who did win in their rookie contracts.

I keep reading and hearing that he was so underpaid this season. Isn’t his salary low this season because his contract he signed here was loaded at the beginning of the contract, he signed a four year deal worth 54.5 million dollars. I’m getting sick of athletes signing these contracts that pay them most of the money in the first two years of the contract and when the second part of their contract is kicks in they whine and ***** about how they are so underpaid.

I think the only mistake they made was not trading him in April to potentially get more value if that was the plan. Obviously they didn't know he would publicly show his displeasure over his contract.

This is one of those stats that's kind of skewed by Tom Brady. Because yes, he won two on his rookie contract, but then won 5 after it (including 4 WELL after it). So, as with most things, take Tom Brady out as the outlier, and you're probably getting a couple more rookie contract QB's breaking through.

EDIT: That said, Mahomes might be a similar filter now. So it's not like Drake Maye (as an example) would suddenly have an easier time reaching a Super Bowl early in his career.

"He" = Mayo?

Who said there was a threat? Some frustration bubbled over on Judon's part. They all got together behind the scenes, and Judon came back to practice and was a good teammate. The underlying conflict was still there, and the trade was the resolution. We have no evidence that a threat or ultimatum was made.

Not everything is a war.
Then why isn’t he still here under the contract he signed?

It's a byproduct of the CBA being generally owner-friendly, specifically about guaranteed money. If players didn't have to worry about losing their money if they got injured, they could sign shorter deals, and they'd be in better position to take advantage of the ever increasing salary cap. As is, a guy like Judon signs a deal, and by the end of it guys half as good are making twice as much, just because the money pool keeps growing. Holding out/in is basically the only leverage the players have, where teams have the ability to get out from deals that go in the opposite direction. I don't blame him for wanting to renegotiate, but exploding publicly wasn't the way to go about it.

Ultimately none of us know the specifics, but he wanted a change to his contract that the Patriots weren't willing to give. This is why I want to see what the Falcons end up doing with him before I form my final opinion. If he plays under his current contract for them, but wouldn't for us, it's a far more damning look for the Patriots. If he signs a 4+ year mega deal (not likely, just as a hypothetical), it makes more sense.

We don't have all the facts yet.

You'll are going to in for a rude awakening minus a 15 sack guy.
My expectations are low to begin with.

To remind you, he had 3.5 last year and is 32 years old.
Gonzo won't look like a shut down CB
Speculation
with that Defense minus Barmore and Judon. It looks like our Brass already conceded the season looking at the schedule let the rebuild continue a sucky season coming up.
This may surprise you to learn but the team is rebuilding.

If by players you mean Patrick Mahomes? Do we have Patrick Mahomes? No?

So what's the point? The one guy I said is the only guy who can do it and he took over a loaded team, which we do not have, is the answer?

So your answer to my point was to make the same point I made? Without Patrick, it's very unlikely that any other team is winning with their rookie QB. Certainly NOT unless you have a loaded offense and great defense. Which we don't have.

May, might, could, yeah. But at least you knew the production with Judon. Anyway, c'est la vie, guess you can't wait for Day 2 of next year's draft.
...Do you think we are competing for a title these next 2-3 years lol?

Giving Godchaux a 2 year extension followed by trading away Judon seems a little schizophrenic to me. All the logic for one would seem to contradict the other.

Roethlisberger and Russ Wilson were two others.
