LMFAO... you know that's what's not happening... time and time again I've said Bill is the best hands down... his ENTIRE career gets mentioned and yes the last 2 are why we are rebuilding..You get called a Bill hater when you let a few seasons overwrite 2 decades
For 23 years. The best 23 years in the history of any franchise. We get called BB haters when we point out obvious things everyone's knows.. Bill was responsible for the entire roster!
Always devolves into the same thing. This thread has gone off the rails
Yeah man.. we are all having harmless fun with the back n fourth man.. lol it's good you can dish it out and take it too.Now you're just F'ing with me
New England Patriots coaches | Pro Football History.com.But was it actually shortened?
How many Coaches were on Staff in 2000?
Since that was early and maybe an indicator of some holdovers on staff of also be interested in some numbers along the way.
How many Coaches were on Staff in 2005 when we transitioned from Romeo and Weiss?
Again how many were on Staff in 09 after Josh left?
How many were on Staff in 14 when the second run started?
How many were on Staff for Cams year?
How many were on Staff for Macs first year?
Lastly how many were on Staff for each of Bill's last 2 years?
If you are right this should be an obvious and noticeable decrease in numbers?
You know when something gets said it's not only directed at you. PatsFans2 is way more of a hater then you but when you align yourself with those sorts of takes you catch some heat.LMFAO... you know that's what's not happening... time and time again I've said Bill is the best hands down... his ENTIRE career gets mentioned and yes the last 2 are why we are rebuilding..
No one here is basing Bill of just 3 seasons..
The other route is the 49er/Dolphins route. Somehow hit on draft picks and trades for high end offensive talent and get an average QB.Common denominator is without solid QB play a team can't win in today's NFL.
PF2, wozzy and sb1 and yourself are are excellent posters. We playfully go back n forth. If you go back and see my post I alway have given Bill his flowers how can I not? I point out the last 2 seasons becuase it's indicative of why we have Drake Maye and not much is thought of us. But you need to also be real.. you purposely don't mention the negatives and it's comes across as your ignoring why we got here a 4-13 team and rebuilding. But it's all good man!You know when something gets said it's not only directed at you. But also be honest with yourself you bring up the negativity of the past few years way more now than you do Bill's other 20 years.
Your turning on me now Pape lol
Coaching assistants were always part of the organization. Josh McDaniel started in that role.New England Patriots coaches | Pro Football History.com.
This is where i got my numbers so if its wrong take it up with them but based on that info here are the numbers. Oh i dont count people like Ernie Adams as a coach nor do i count owners and scouts. This IMO should be strictly you got a title like assistant DL coach. If you were Dante and did both assistant head coach and OL you got counted once. Same later for Josh OC and QB coach. I also include strength and conditioning but if you want to subtract the typically 3 people with that title feel free

* **** Rebeign was QB coach and passed so could be counted as 15
**Fat Matt Senior Football Advisor, i have him in an Ernie Adams type role those years so dont count him but im sure he was on the field coaching from time to time so if you do want to count him go ahead.
Couple of interesting things that popped out to me, early years when he had Dante, Romeo, and Charlie he had smaller staffs with less assistant type titles. Seems like he had his competent trusted guys that he let run more of the program. It wasnt until 2012 where random odd titles i counted but didnt have a specific job like coaching assistant (i.e make my coffee b#$%*) started showing up, the first being drum roll please steve belichick. After that they had 2 in 2013 and 14, up to 3 in 15 and 16, some interesting names like covington and popovich among the 4 in 17, and a whopping 5 on the 18 squad. Overall though the size of Belichicks staff actually got bigger over time.
I'm not ignoring it I just don't like playing Rochambeau for fun.PF2, wozzy and sb1 and yourself are are excellent posters. We playfully go back n forth. Mr. Brissett played that game with a busted thumb on his throwing hand. Try throwing a football if your thumb doesn't work. Jimmy GThe other route is the 49er/Dolphins route. Somehow hit on draft picks and trades for high end offensive talent and get an average QB.
The issue with that, as 49ers and Dolphins are now finding out is instead of paying 2 top guys, 1 being a QB, you need to pay 4 or 5 guys top dollar and you just can't afford to keep them together for as many years as just 1 QB can be locked up. Your window is much smaller without a top 5 NFL QB
Unless you have the 49ers or Dolphins skill players, you need a good QB, not just solid.
Matt Cassell took a 16-0 team, lost 5 games and missed the playoffs.
In 2016 they got SHUT OUT at home to a weak Buffalo team, just because of Brissett playing QB with a top offense.
It’s a chicken/egg thing. If you put a bad team around a qb and you lose, you have a qb problem. If you put a good team around the same qb you are winning because you have a good qb.The other route is the 49er/Dolphins route. Somehow hit on draft picks and trades for high end offensive talent and get an average QB.

No tax helps..Bad teams sign and trade for top players all the time. We are not suddenly the first franchise who can’t give our money away.
Tennessee certainly is in no better shape than us and they signed a ton of high level free agents this year.
True, but zero isn’t “admirably”. Zero is zero.Mr. Brissett played that game with a busted thumb on his throwing hand. Try throwing a football if your thumb doesn't work. Jimmy G
wussed out of playing, Jacoby filled in admirably, given his experience level.
They are in the 5th year of a rebuild. Your argument is that 3-4 win teams are poorly run and you want to be a 3-4 win team with a brand new organization because that will mean we aren’t poorly run?
Your last sentence is what every one of those “poorly run” franchises thought the answer was.
