I think that we should expect Bourne to be on the 53 rather than on PUP.

Bourne and the 3 kids are locks. I see one opening for a WR who isn't a STer.

Reagor is making a place for himself as a STer, who can be an emergency WR.
=====================
Personally, I would like another seasoned veteran. I prefer Osborn. IMO, Boutte is our annual inexperienced binky WR that doesn't make the 53 and easily makes the Practice Squad.

One presumes that Wolf is continuing to look for trade partners willing to take Schuster and/or Thornton.
Unless a Team gets decimated at WR both are going to be tough trades can't keep em all. IF Boutte or Reagor plays up to their potential they might be keepers. Not hearing Juju's name much in practices not sure that's a good thing.

All I have to say is why Mayo?? I would have hid Bourne no need to show our hands regarding him. We have more than enough guys @ WR to roll with.

This was a dumb ass signing as I mentioned when it happened.

If Pok and Baker keep doing what they’re doing, this will be Bourne, Schuster, and Osborne’s last training camp.
Bourne was signed to a very early three year extension in FA with an injury. I like Bourne but the signing at the time gave me a headache. I mean I am sure Teams weren't lining up for his services maybe Wolf knows something we don't.

Signing him to a 3 year deal that early was amateur hour. This front office has been so bad, it makes me miss Bill as GM.

I wonder if it had something to do with the BB and Matt Patriciia OC experiment and dog House treatment of Bourne in 22?? That's the only reason I can think of I think Pop - Baker and Polk are the best WR's on our Roster. We might have some redundancy with Bourne and Osborn.

I know that was bad but I don't miss GM BB especially during the late and post Brady years never will.

Wolf needs to be on the phones with all wr needy teams trying to unload Juju. Even if it’s juju and a late rounder for a pick a round higher. Roll with the youth movement.

Do you think a team will take on JJSS's contract? I think the whole league knows he is toast. Meyers mentioned it last year in an interview. I am guessing the Pats will have to release him and eat this year's money.

Signing him coming off injury to a three year deal extended him at a low point and at good value. Even if you need to place him on the PUP so he misses the first four games you have him locked up, and when you look at WR salaries around the league exploding he is signed to a very team friendly deal. I don't mind the signing, they might still have a logjam at the position down the road.

He has to prove he's healthy this offseason and he'll be fine. He only has one year (2024) left on his current contract with any real guaranteed money. He'll be easy to trade assuming other teams are WR needy by the end of preseason, the only thing the receiving team has to do is fit him under their cap.

They won't get much for him because he'll be a one year rental for the receiving team and they'll be absorbing most of his salary. It will be a salary dump for the Pats and it will allow them to go younger and cheaper.

I am really, really hoping Wallace can deliver at LT. If he can, it makes everything else on the line so much easier.

Rather than eating the whole amount the team is better off increasing his trade value by keeping some of the salary as part of the deal. The ideal trade partner would be a team with playoff ambitions that is near the cap with a desperate need at WR. It may take a few weeks for that scenario to emerge and/or allow JJSS to show something in the preseason.

If that means keeping him on the roster, I imagine they might just cut their losses and Juju.

Agreed, if the team can't find a trade by cutdown time it makes no sense to let go one of the young guys in the off chance someone will want him.

I am not a fan of Baker at all as he does not seem able to separate at all and in NFL you can't survive off of contested balls only.

Hope I am wrong.
