He’s probably ten feet under ground in a hole of darkness in the middle of nowhere getting in touch with his inner self. And it’s likely costing him tens of thousands to practically be buried alive… again.

Or maybe we’ll learn he’s engaged to another wacko actress whom he’s never actually met… again.

Weirdo

What a clown to have as the most important player, Mac Jones has better leadership skills.

When everyone was hoping the Patriots traded for Rodgers last year, I was never on board with it. He was on the wrong side of 40, his head is no longer in the game, and he is a diva. He's not Brady. Or even Brees. Those guys worked their asses off to make sure they could play north of 40. Rodgers does things like goes on a vision quest retreat, hangs out on podcasts, flirts with running for Vice President, etc.

I wonder if he hasn't even recovered from his injury last year after claiming he would be back last season and now he is in Europe getting some kind of holistic treatment. He never seemed like the guy who would work extra hard to come back from an injury like some players do.

so - in other words - the perfect QB for the JETE!

I agree with the "it's a choice" take. This is his 20th NFL season. He surely knows what OTAs are all about. He clearly knows he's disrespecting his coaches and his teammates by taking a vacation instead of attending OTAs. He clearly knows he put Bim in a jam. He doesn't care. It's a power play on his behalf. He's showing Bim and Woody that he can walk away any time he wants. Same for the VP thing. He's just screaming out loud "I got choices, I don't need this lame outfit, they need me more than I need them!".

I always felt like the "secret sauce" in New England wasn’t Bill Belichick’s negative reinforcement but rather the incredible standard that Brady set for everyone. He was so dedicated and committed in every way that the biggest fear and thus motivating factor for the other players was to make sure they didn’t let him down.

Brady led by example. How exactly is Rodgers leading this week? More importantly, how will he lead moving forward?

This is gold. Jete savior quarterback misses mandatory mini-camp to take psychedelics and trip out in his never-ending search for self. Like, wow, Aaron.

Playing for the jest will do that to a person. He has to escape the reality of playing for a team that has sucked for 55 years. And now he has to carry that stain for the rest of his life.

There is no "I" in ayahuasca ...

To escape the insidious stank, he had to go on a trip -- literally and figuratively.

"
before
"Om, I'm toast, Om I'm toast." Aaron's priorities haven't changed, he puts himself before his team as SOP.

The entire Jets/Rodgers experience seems like an extended Impractical Jokers segment, with Aaron's pals seeing what he can get away with:

"Tell them to sign your buddies from Green Bay"
"Say you're going to return from a torn achilles in 2 months"
"Start skipping mandatory team activities"
"Tell them to work your initials into the team logo"

"I’m a big Aaron Rodgers fan, but if I was in that locker room, and Aaron Rodgers wasn’t there for three days on the mandatory minicamp, having played four snaps off of an injury when we have two new receivers, a bunch of new linemen that we added to the team, with a CBA that doesn’t allow us to practice a lot, I guarantee there’s four or five guys — six, seven, eight, nine guys in that locker room — sitting there like, ‘Where’s he at?’" Edelman said.

If the Jets start the season strong, it will be forgotten. If they don't, some will point to Rodgers skipping the mandatory minicamp.

"God forbid the New York Jets start 1-3 at the beginning of the season, which they start with the Niners, Tennessee, Patriots and someone else regardless [the Broncos]," Edelman said. "We all know the Patriots are no good, but that defense is still the same defense, and that’s who Aaron goes against. If they go 1-3, this is going to be such a big distraction for that locker room. Because everyone is going to be talking about it."

A couple weeks ago a young checkout clerk at the local grocery store I frequent was wearing a Jete shirt. I believe my attempt to embarrass him was successful, I got his coworkers laughing. Serves the stupid kid right.
