Mayo and Wolf certainly made our WR Room competitive far cry from the previous going be some tough cuts coming there.

Polk - Baker - Pop - Bourne and Osborn maybe Juju if we plan on keeping Six. K.J. Osborn is legit!

Bit late to the party there. Anyone who has paid attention to the NFL over the past 3 years knows that Osborn is legit. He's been over-shadowed by Thielen, Jefferson and then Addison. It also didn't help when Minny added Hockenson and made the TE a bigger part of their offense. The addition of Addison last year cut about 15 targets from Osborn's career high of 90 in 2022. But I could easily see him and POP having 90-100 targets each with another 200-300 amongst the TEs, other receivers and the RBs.

Pump the brakes. It's June 12th. Let's see how they do when they start playing with anger.
There's nothing to pump the brakes on. Osborn is a legit receiver. He's been stuck behind some top end talent in Thielen and Jefferson and then Addison.

It would be unfortunate if Wallace can't transition to LT, but if he ends up being a good RT, then that lets Onwenu go back to being a premier RG. Sow/Strange should be fine at LG, Andrews at C, with Robinson and Leverrett both available at guard also, and then it's just a question of LT still. Hopefully, Okorafor can do it, or somehow Lowe steps up his game.

LT options include Calvin Anderson, Verderian Lowe, Chuki Okorafor.

Really lowering the bar there with Lowe Ross an abysmal RT playing LT is a quick way to get to your Fourth QB please no to Lowe.

*SMH* How about you do some research for a change? If you did, you'd know that LOWE was a LT all through College AND with the Vikings. He didn't take snaps at RT with the Vikings because he couldn't make that switch. You know. The switch that Matt Light even stated was extremely hard to do.

Oh. Wait. I keep forgetting that you don't like facts that don't support your rambling.

Uh huh. With no pads and no danger of getting hit. Seen a lot of kids look great on 7 on 7 but when the pads come on, they turtle.

Osborn isn't some rookie who is wet behind the ears. He's a 4yr vet that's averaged 82 targets, 53 catches, 615 yards and 5 TDs over the last 3 years. He was stuck behind the likes of Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and TJ Hockenson. Osborn is in the Edelman mold in terms of toughness and he's got a better 3-cone than Welker. Osborn can also run all the routes on the tree from both inside and outside much the way Edelman did.

But Right Guards don't need to be paid as much as Onwenu's being paid now. That's Right Tackle money.

You clearly haven't been paying attention. The TOP RGs are making the same as the #2, #3 and #4 RTs.

What's so dam impressive about him?

Try doing research instead of being a Lemming.

Nick Leverett is a vet with quality starts at C and LG in the NFL. It's called VERSATILITY.. The fact that he can block in space is excellent for someone who is lining up in a goal-line on the end of the line.

6'3 - 310 lbs. Decent agility. Good strength.

DB did I tell you that you always say the nicest things?

You very well know that these reps are all about Wallace. If he starter quality at RT, perhaps he can play there with Onwenu at RG. This an alternative to Robinson (or another) at RG and Onwenu at RT.

If Wallace isn't taking every practice snap available at Left Tackle, then this was a wasted pick.

He is the 4th highest paid RT, he would be the 3rd highest paid RG.....and he is a better Guard than Tackle
If they plan on using a Zone Scheme, he'd be more effective as a RG. I like that he can play RT at a decent level. That being said, IF Wallace can be a stud at RT a long with Onwenu at RG, and Sow or whoever else emerges as a legit LG, then all we need is what we've always needed: A legit LT (Will Campbell from LSU in the 2025 Draft?), and a solid young Center (even if Andrews plays another year after this and still plays well. And of course, a solid 3rd OT would be desirable as well. A solid OL will help Maye to be what we hope he can be.

That is only because your favorites weren't drafted instead of Wallace. Wallace could be a long-time starter at RT or LT. In any case, having Wallace gives us a lot of options for 2024. This is especially true since I think the team expects the LT 2024 starter to be Okorafor or Anderson.
===========
ONE option if for Wallace to expected to be a Game Day backup at OT and perhaps even LG. This does not depend on where Sow plays.

Option TWO is to expect Sow to be our starter at LG. Then there are two options on the right side depending on which rookie is most ready.
OPTION 2A is Robinson starting at RG. If Robinson isn't ready OPTION 2B is Wallace starting at RT and Onwenu at RG.

OPTION 3 is Anderson at LT, Okorafor at RT and Onwenu at RG, with Wallace as the swing OT. Or Okorafor could be the swing and Wallace the RT.

Wallace gives us a lot of options.

The receivers have to be open in order to catch it according to Curran and other's who've been at camp.. Gonzo's given up 0.
Not surprising.
He was THE BEST CB in the NFL last year before he was injured. The best. Period.
Go back and look at the laundry list of the best wrs in the league who he just shut down. I've never seen anything like that in 50+ years of nfl-watching.
Not Deion, not Haynes, not Green, not Woodson, not Revis, not Gilmore, nobody.
With Gobzo and Judon playing g all last season Pats could've easily been the best defense in the league.

Absolutely positively. I said this before and some posters were saying it was a small sample size. So I said ok.. so if he was struggling in 4 games last season instead of being the best CB in football they would call him a bust. Every top WR has credited him. He's just effortlessly gildes and has immaculate foot work, instincts and ball skills. Without our 2 best players last season we finished in the top 10..

Gonzo does so much for this defense, he allows covington to call creative blitz packages, allowing twists. And stunts up front to allow Barmore and white to over power linemen.

I just cannot see Lowe even making the 53 from what he has done so far with the Pats. Maybe the blocking scheme will change that but I have my doubts. I think it’s between Chuks and Anderson at LT.

Boutte was awesome at LSU and has shown flashes of brilliance. Made some dumb decisions, but also ended up in BB dog house and I think he could have helped us more …..we shall see….this is his year to prove it….starting out tremendously in TC!

Low's gotta have a helluva camp to win one of the backup Tackle jobs (yes I believe they will - or at least Should - keep 4 OTs)...Winning a starting job appears unrealistic, if not metaphysically impossible.

That'll be AVP's call. Seems like the offense is his all the way through.

I agree.. I think Lowe is headed for the PS if not outright cut. When the Pats traded for him last year, he'd been playing LT for Minnesota exclusively. Just like his prior 6 years (College & Pro). Unfortunately, he had the warts of not being able to play RT. Not to mention the lack of a position coach..

We'll see what camp brings.

I think this is right. But until I see it working on the field, the choice of Chuks or Anderson as the starting LT does not fill me with a ton of confidence.
