At the time it seemed irrelevant, as in "What a waste that would have been to be stranded in Green Bay." But with the Packers 11-2, it now looks like a significant non-move.
But it's not such a serendipitous scenario, Moss could have ended up at a few other teams too but let's not forget that the Pats were the only team he would take a pay cut for. Green Bay actually couldn't really afford him at the price they would have had to pay and if they could, the rest of the team would have suffered.
Its definetely a big "What If" that I know for a fact a lot of Packer fans are wondering. Donald Driver would be a great #2 to Moss, because of his obvious ability but also because he has a complimentary skillset that, with Moss commanding special attention, would allow him to thrive...ala Welker.
But THANK GOD it didn't happen, it was a nightmare scenario for Viking fans everywhere and a lot of us would've seen that as one of the saddest day in Vikings history.
I hope Moss will stay on a lower than expected salary next season he will love the chance of a second superbowl ring(touch wood) and he likes to boast he has the best chance to while with the pats while he has records broke and more to break.

This is a great point. It makes you wonder if Randy weighed his choices based on which team could he thrive for years at a time as opposed to one and done. Obviously Farve is having a great season, but agreed, he'll be out of the league in five years (then again, I thought the same thing about Vinny :bricks: ).
