As we have said many times. Draft grades are stupid. Essential they rate where the majority of media talking heads say a player should go. They do not factor in information that only the team is privy to

So the grades are bs and based on incomplete info.
2 years from now we will know

I like the thought process for drafting Polk and Baker different skill sets and different positions we al;ready had a slot now we have 3 young receivers X,Z, slot. Hopefuly they work out.

Totally agree…there are many different opinions on this forum regarding how the draft went but the reality is that no one can give an objective assessment of this draft until the 2025 season is over. We have to give these guys a couple of years under their belt while they learn their craft at the NFL level before we start assigning grades.

Any kind of draft judgement now is just reactionary. None of these guys have suited up for a NFL game yet. What these players did or didn’t do in college obviously isn’t irrelevant, but their performance at the next level is the real draft grade determining factor.

Felger gave their draft an F.

It wasn’t an F draft; that’s just silly. An F would’ve been deserved had they drafted Penix or McCarthy without a trade-down first…

The Maye pick rates a C; nothing more, nothing less. It’s what Wolfie & the Leftovers did and did not do on Day 2 and during half of Day 3 that rates a failing grade from me.

In your opinion do you think the draft would have gone better or worse if Groh was the de-facto GM?

Worse, probably. Bill and by extension Al Groh's kid would've never gone 7/8 in favor of the offense.

The same because Wolf and Groh are to blame for our last three drafts not BB. These two second round picks are exactly the same thing as recent years, not the BPA approach BB took before Kraft brought in oversight. I hope I’m wrong but I’m fairly certain I’m not. Time will tell.

Seemed like Wolf's plan was to get an X and Z in this. Reportedly tried to trade up for either Legette or Coleman but couldn't. So I think pivoted to getting the best Z WR on their board which was Polk. Then Baker was still there in the 4th.

So one of the greats likes him a lot - I'm down with it. Let's go Ja'Lynn!

So many WR's taken and a lot out of the order of the media's draft boards. It will be interesting which ones pan out.

After the Patriots had to rebuild the defense after 2020, after they showed how slow they were, we had to get rid of our old fogies. So how did they do it? In the next 3 drafts, knowing the focus was on defense, they picked 16 offensive picks and 11 defensive.

I'm down on this draft because of how high our picks were. #34? #68? You need to do much better there.

Go back and read the thread when N'Keal Harry got drafted and you'll see 95% unbridled optimism. Maybe that's how it always is and how it should be. I AM NOT SAYING POLK IS LIKE HARRY. I am saying that arguments about these players on a post-draft thread always sound like this, no matter how bad the player turns out to be.

I certainly hope Polk becomes a great player for us, but if I had to put money down, I'm betting Adonai Mitchell will have a much better career.
