Patriots could shop Parker

People forget that Parker has had very good games here. Remember the Baltimore game in 22 when he went off like crazy? Or the catch he had to win against Denver?

We’ve learned he’s definitely someone that can’t be relied on, but he could make a great 3rd/4th WR option with his occasional flashes.

Another one of the former idiot general managers awesome signings
He wasn't even a signing. BB went out and traded for him. The fact that the Phins were willing to trade him in the division was a huge red flag.

Parker as a #2 or #3 on a team that has a good QB and a good WR or two might be productive. He isn't a primary WR which is how the Pats used him a lot. But I can see him in a role like how the Pats used Stallworth in 2007. Stallworth and Parker are very different WRs, but Stallworth was a defacto #3 (although a starter) who was really only used to make a handful of big plays a game.

I don't think the Pats will get anything more than a late third day pick for Parker, but I can see someone taking him off the Patriots' hands.
Rob please he's not a 2 or 3 Parker closer to a #4 now which we can get in the Upcoming Draft.

Disagree if you want, but we relied on him as a 1st/2nd option over the last couple of seasons. He’s more just not consistent enough for that role.

He might fit well with KC - with a QB that can pass accurately, and with a low salary cap hit for the acquiring team as Ross pointed out.

There was no place for him in Miami anymore and he got a degree from the Jimmy Garoppolo School of injuries.

Parker is better than you are making him. On a lot of teams he is a #2. On most teams he can be a #3. He isn't awful. He just isn't a guy you want to be your primary go-to WR which is how the Patriots used him for most of the past two years.

But there was a place for him here? I don't agree.

I want to move on from Parker and hopes Mayo does too to the Youth Movement.

I think he is a solid #3 as well. I just think that the team is going to want to "get young" on offense and Parker is over 30, doesn't get separation, and taking up dollars even though he's not crazy expensive. I imagine they would rather acquire a WR1 some other way, use Juju as the WR3 and then either bring back Bourne as the WR2 who's more explosive and under 30, or play a rookie in that spot.

Just cut him and be done with it.

I didn't say keep Parker. I said he could be a #2 or #3 on another team. I don't think the Pats should hold onto him because of his age and injury history.

We have the infective Juju I can't see Mayo riding with both in 2024. Parker's 394 yds 0 TD's for a 6'3 WR is pretty bad needle pointing down.

You can have a youth movement and keep Parker.

Again, there’s about 5-6 slots for the receiver position. Keeping him won’t derail our season.

Trade Juju for a salary dump move, or just bite the bullet and take on his dead money after June 1st. I don’t see a point in keeping someone who is completely toast.

No Team is taking Juju's 260 yds with his 24 cap hit we are stuck with him at least for this year. See informative post from Ross above regarding Juju.
