These RBs will be FAs.

The best way to take some pressure off your QB and OL is to sign one of these guys and have them split time with Rham:

- Josh Jacobs
- Austin Ekeler
- Saquon Barkley
- Tony Pollard
- D'Andre Swift

Personally I'd take any of the first 3.

You have money to burn, just sign a top RB for 2 or 3 yrs.
If I was gonna go with one of those it would be swift. He's 25, next 4 years will be the prime. But for the price of swift pats could sign AJ dillon and Antonio Gibson
Rhamondre
AJ dillon
Antonino Gibson
Draft pick

I want a home run hitter. Even Barkley is only 27 years old.

He has 3 years in him.

Gibson is one of the more underutilized/talented RB’s in the league and his market value is much lower than the average RB (I believe). He has great size, is an excellent receiver and has been relatively healthy since entering the league. I’m honestly not sure how good he is in pass protection. I believe he’d be an asset here behind Rham.

if he’s healthy and he has his mind right, plus we have a ton of holes.
The entire draft should be fixing the offense.
Unless a defensive prospect falls to us who we have ranked significantly higher.
Absolutely! As currently constructed the defense could line up today and hold teams. Maybe add some depth on the D line, but I actually am ok with the guys we have in the secondary.. outside of gonzo and j. Jones we have some young guys that can play in the league. However to your point this draft is 90%offense.

Justin Jefferson and still getting a franchise QB all with the pick 3, would be Playing chess to the highest degree.

Baker Mayfield, Justin Fields, JJ McCarthy, Bo nix. Michael Pennix, Would all be attainable, Kirk Cousins? maybe

Elliot was 27 and Dalvin Cook was 28 last year, and you could see the difference. RB's at 27 to 28 are a hard pass unless at a highly reduced price.

Agreed. Or Brian Burns.

Plus a tall press corner, and a FS. And we are all set for a few years.
Allen and Burns are probably both getting tagged.

On the other hand, Elliott has 120 games played. Saquon is at 74. Eliott has 2065 carries. Saquon is at 1201.

As for Cook, he's smaller than both and had more usage that Saquon. I do get your point, but tread counts, not just age.

I assume this guy isn’t credible?

If he is credible, a hard pass from me. We have no QB. Tua has shown some promise before the Dolphins made a trade like that. We’re more likely to look like the Raiders after trading for Adams.

But but...WR's are not valuable and are replaceable. Blows a hole in some of the BB's notion lovers around here regarding WRs. Three #1's pass pass pass.

Ideally, it's just to buy time to negotiate a 4–5-year deal. If not, It is just for 1 year where they have plenty of cap space and will have trouble spending it based on this free agent class.
He's just as likely going to be the right tackle.
It's estimated he's going to get 13.6 million per for 4 years, and that's probably understated due to the lack of quality linemen and the recent increase in cap space for all teams. He might get 15 million.
Joe Thuney is 26 million against the KC cap, so 20 million for 1 year while you try to sign him long-term. Alternatively it gives you time to find someone to replace him in 2025. This is not the worst thing that could happen.

I would do 13 a year for Onwenu, he’s a really good player, he’s just not elite at his position.

I like Dugger as a player but I haven’t seen the year-to-year progression that I had hoped to see, particularly in coverage, given his elite height/weight/speed profile. Between Peppers and Mapu (whom I prefer in the SS or coverage LB role) they have Dugger’s skill set covered pretty well.

Winfield is unlikely to hit the free agent marker, so I’d love to see them go after McKinney. Versatile guy, still only 24 (25 in August) can fill McCourty’s deep safety role. Had a very good 2023, and had his best season with Patrick Graham as their defensive coordinator, so he would likely be able to get up to speed with the current patriots defense fairly quickly.
The devoid of a true FS is why Dugger isn't or didn't have the production. The FS like the Mike LB is essential for a defense. We need to address this in FA, my hope is mills resigns and he can start at FS.. he's done it in Philly..

That's what I was wondering. Maybe get Jefferson in trade, Kirk Cousins in free agency and a high enough draft pick to get your LT. It's not my ideal scenario, but it is an interesting one.

Xavien Howard being released. I wouldn’t mind watching him line up on the other side of Christian Gonzalez
I forgot who but a poster was trying to make an argument that he didn't know what gonzo was! I argued that in 4 games he was playing at an all pro level.. he was ranked the 3rd best CB heading into week 4. He definitely would have been in the running for defensive rookie of the year.. absolutely agree on Howard opposite Gonzo.

Yeah, I saw that too. And I'm more on the Kirk Cousins bandwagon more than some others because he's somewhere we could spend our FA dollars and take some pressure off the draft.
