How much credit do the Clipper's D deserve? One of the few nights I get to watch a Celtics game without wife aggro, and we get 29% shooting in the first half.

Eh, they lost by 19. Lousy night. I wouldn't read too much into this oneThat is the concern. Is the Clippers D so good we should lose by 30? Or are the Celtics mentally weak? Tough questions. If we lose by 8 or 12 at least the guys fought thru the adversity.

Yep. Celtics blew out Clips in LA and embarrassed them.Eh, they lost by 19. Lousy night. I wouldn't read too much into this one
Self implosion rate is high with any team that has Harden, Westbrook, and two of the most injury prone stars in the league. I’m more concerned about Denver. OKC, and even Minnesota.Yep. Celtics blew out Clips in LA and embarrassed them.
Clippers have been the hottest team in the league for a while and they came into Boston looking for revenge.
It was obvious C's badly missed KP in this one on both sides of the ball. He plays, maybe different outcome.
Blowouts when top teams play have always happened. We've seen it in playoffs a bunch of times. One team gets blown out by 30 but comes back and wins the series.
I'm not saying a this loss was a good thing but it should make the players focus more on their weaknesses, individual and team.
And it gives Mazzula more ammo to make them buckle down in practice and keep level heads. Like he said" you're never as good as you think you are- or as bad as you think you are."
And a healthy Leonard is on the very short list of the best players in the world.
Clippers are for real and legit title threats.
But if all our guys are reasonably healthy, I'd still give C's the edge in a series
You want to win every game, but I'm not too worked up over games like this. Celtics couldn't make a shot. In the playoffs, the key will be the ability to win the close ones. That's my concern with this team. (And health)Good on Pritchard and Hauser to reduce the lead from 31 to 19 in the 4th Q, but the starters were blown out by 30.
That is what we said after the Bucks blowout. That was a B2B blowout, and now the reason is to that the schedule was too hard and the team needs the All Star break. Will you be concerned if a 3rd blowout happens?
He has definitely underperformed compared to expectations coming inTough game but C's just outclassed em late in the game.
Zion has talent but as usual, he ran out of gas late. Dude has no endurance. And he's always getting hurt.
He needs to drop about 15 lbs. Do some serious endurance training. Train like a boxer. Long sessions jumping rope and running miles. Too many muscles makes you LESS athletic and weaker, yes that's right.
He'll never reach his full potential until he does this. I don't know how dedicated he is. He needs to study Kobe Bryant. I'm his coach I'm putting together a 2 hr tape of Kobe not just playing but practicing and showing his training regimen.
Zion has huge talent and he's wasting it right now. When Mazzula put JB on Zion late in 4th, it's like he said" I just don't have the energy to attack this dude who's quicker and fresher than me".
Kobe,Larry Bird and MJ would all be disgusted by this weakass attitude.
Don't mean to rant but it pisses me off when an athlete with great talent just wastes it because he lacks the will, the desire, the guts and the integrity to work on improving your weaknesses. And it's his only weakness. Damn, bruh.
I'm mixed on Joe. I think he does a lot of good things but like many coaches he has some fatal flaws, specifically stubbornness. The three point philosophy doesn't always work and as we've seen in some of our losses this year a lot of it was shooting ourselves out of the game. I worry about that in the playoffs. We aren't lacking in talent and so we don't need to live or die by the three.Since I'm not always his biggest fan I should give props to Mazzulla, liked what he was saying yesterday about the importance of these kind of grind them out games
If he can impress that mentality upon them, maybe we won't see this team unnecessarily going to seven game series in the playoffs and just in general have a tougher mindset. That would be beautiful
Or even better not blow the 15 point lead in half a quarterQuite the first half as Celtics shot 63% and were 12/21 from 3 and lead 81-65. Only 2 turnovers with 5 steals. It would be great if they reached 160 points.
I read that he’s just very lazy and that he eats everything in New Orleans, drinks, parties, and knocks up baby mommas. He just needs to do reasonable pro athlete things - nothing really intense - and he’d be fine, but he won’t.Tough game but C's just outclassed em late in the game.
