NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION NFL Divisional game: KC @ Buffalo

I don’t think I can bear to watch, especially if the lions beat the niners. Gotta give it to the chiefs, always got the belief they can beat anybody.

Not worth another week of lost sleep
Patriots fans hate both these teams. So it's a nightmare scenario. Boh have a chance at a 4th Lombardi (I believe the Colts SB title counts in Ravens records. Idk?)

The 49ers can tie the Patriots with six SB titles.

It would be funny if the Lions end up winning it all somehow.

Brutal loss for the Bills. They had plenty of chances and even got a 2nd life with the fumble-touchback. I think the Chefs run ends in Baltimore though. That D is too tough.

Bills fans are turning on Diggs now for his 13 straight games without hitting 90 yards, 5 of those under 30 yards (including tonight). They’re not wrong.
I don't think he's a legit number one receiver you want in crunch time. No, I'm not counting that missed tackle by NO where any receiver would score.

Imagine Buffalo with oh say....Justin Jefferson?

Mahomes lost to Brady in the AFC Championship game AND The Super Bowl, Thats not going away. and its something that can be held over Mahomes head for eternity.

But in the end who cares, its more fun celebrating wins than hoping for somebody else to fail.

I think some day Bills fans will learn. But today's not that day.
Josh Allen will do nothing but drive them into a ditch, year after year, because of his rocks-for-brains. But the fans are conditioned to blame anyone but him, so - we'll see how long that lasts for. Year 6 just finished up. Maybe by year 16.

I think the biggest difference is simply that KC has Reid and Buff has McDermott.

I mostly think this too but then I don't want to be so spoiled he's pretty darn good and he still has time to get over the hump. Right now he's Drew but I guess even Drew went to a SB and helped us win another AFC title game.

The chiefs are winning the SB again aren’t they

Maybe. But it's not like Kansas City has to do anything special. They punted one time, and could do virtually anything they wanted at all times. If not for the bad luck on that fumble, it's a borderline rout.

But my point is, the Bills couldn't have had a better setup. Down 3, first and 10 at the 2 minute warning inside KC's 30. And Josh Allen had a pick dropped, and a fumble right before that, before he decided to haphazardly chuck it into the end zone three times. I can't put that on McDermott, or Brady - he had receivers wide-ass open.

At what point do you move on from the HC? You can't continue to lose to your main AFC rival in the postseason and keep running it back. McDermott is a good coach. But that team is at least fighting Baltimore for the one seed with Belichick/Harbaugh.

If I'm Bill, I wait and see if the Bills owner reaches out. But no way they have the stones to fire him.

I'm not so sure. I think this was his last chance. They're already over the cap for next year.

Tonight Mahomes was simply more clutch than Josh.
Allen missed two key throws during the last possession that he had to make.

Mahomes is only 28!
He has at least 12 more years before he is done.
If Chiefs win SB this year he will only need 4 more SBs in 12 years to get to 7.
Its possible

This is what scares me about next week.

I don't think it's going to be that easy against a healthy #1 Drfense. Buffalo was beat up.

And can the D, who wasn't that good tonight, keep Lamar in line?

Lamar will have to be good next week. The NFL is salivating at the thought of Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl.

3 pinpoint 50 yard throws. Dropped. We'd be saying something else right now.

I mean, don't sleep on Playoff Lamar doing his best to choke the game away - but I can see all of KC's touchdowns being FGs next week, and maybe having to punt more than once. They seriously barely had to try, every play to everyone was a 20-yard gain it seemed like. 20-15, something like that.

Rocky-brain take

We should Trade for him he would fit right in.

After all that. 2 minutes to go. What happened. Josh Allen lost his mind, that's what happened. Bills Expected Yards Per Play was historic this year - they had no trouble moving the ball between the 20s.
