Bill thought so much of Zappe that he allowed anyone who wanted to claim him. Zappe wasn't good enough to be a backup for anyone but the patriots.

Yes, yes he did. Almost as if telling the world that Mac Jones was the only QB the Patriots needed.

I wonder why he would have done such a thing?

BB was instructed to do so by Booster Seat Bob.

Every time BB put Zappe in, the game was so far out of reach that there was no way that Zappe would engineer a comeback and threaten Corkys job.

They weren't bringing in a veteran that could have had the chance to beat Mac Jones out last year - and they won't this year.

Zappe probably stays and NE drafts a QB, but later on in lower rounds so that the guy is not threatening to Corky Boy.

I think in the context of us knowing what a dysfunctional operation the offense was last year with patricia/judge I can see why management would be like "lets cool our jets abit" he was only one year removed from one of the best Rookie QB seasons under McDaniels.

unrelated to that, Bill could've still brought in more than just zappe. could've still brought in Mayfield or some veteran QB to compete.

zappe was just so bad in pre-season that Mac beat him out and Bill had to start signing re-treads off the scrap heap.

its interesting to me all these articles seem to come out that now every bad decision somehow wasn't Bill. but every good one was. juju, mac etc.!

Bill has been in the NYFL for close to a half century and the IBWT crowd wants us to believe that he doesn't have connections in the media but Mayo does. They're grasping at straws.

And when does the Falcon Forum open up? That way all of the IBWTers can have a place to follow Bill without disrupting the main forum.

Free Agency is in a little more than a month. They have the same scouting and personnel department. That's not a full rebuild, it's a half-measure. If you're going to blow it up, blow it up. Right now it's just PR. However at least now they've fired one guy and let another guy go.
