It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Unfortunately for Team Bill loyalists, the report is from Wickersham, so it looks like you’ve spent a week discrediting and mocking a reporter you’ll now be celebrating. But such is the life of the PatsFans.com Team Bill Oath Taker.
Also a rumor Bill wanted Baker Mayfield.
Enjoy.
He has liked Mayfield for a very long time. We dodged a bullet when Belichick tried to trade for the right to pick Mayfield in the draft (that's a rumor, but if you search for it, there are articles).Hasn’t there been reports previously that Bill wanted to trade Mac and Bob turned him down? That is news to me that he would have pursued Mayfield.
Let's suppose that the story is true, which seems unlikely. When ownership tells you that Mac Jones is your starter, bringing in someone to compete really isn't in the plans.
What 'veteran backup' can you bring in that won't hurt Mac Jones' fee-fees? Trevor Siemian? What's the point?Let's suppose that the story is true, which seems unlikely.
You position is that when the boss insists that Mac is the starter, that your response should be to have no veteran backup, in fact no backup at all. As I have said before, that was a very poor decision by the HC and by the GM.
Back at you TD.It's always nice to see someone else has been paying attention.
His stock went up considerably after this.Belichick may have always like Mayfield: Patriots looking to trade up to draft Baker Mayfield?
He's still the only person that's been fired.Bill looks like he's the scapegoat. This helps explain them agreeing to part ways.
Very bizarre. He's still the only person that's been fired.
It was so much better no have no backup at all. What 'veteran backup' can you bring in that won't hurt Mac Jones' fee-fees? Trevor Siemian? What's the point?
Really? Please tell me what Trevor Siemien would have added to the team, that they didn't get from Mac Jones/Bailey Zappe. It was so much better no have no backup at all.
There were a at least a dozen QB's better than Zappe. Why focus on Sieman?Really? Please tell me what Trevor Siemien would have added to the team, that they didn't get from Mac Jones/Bailey Zappe.
Yes, yes he did. Almost as if telling the world that Mac Jones was the only QB the Patriots needed. There were a at least a dozen QB's better than Zappe. Why focus on Sieman?
Bill thought so much of Zappe that he allowed anyone who wanted to claim him. Zappe wasn't good enough to be a backup for anyone but the patriots.
Yet he was better than Jones!!There were a at least a dozen QB's better than Zappe. Why focus on Sieman?

Bb gave up his power and that was the beginning of the endWhen ownership tells you that Mac Jones is your starter, bringing in someone to compete really isn't in the plans.
Zappe? No he wasn't better than Jones. Not really.Yet he was better than Jones!!
Jones will be at camp but that is all. He has to earn his way on the team.Seriously, if we were tied to Mac Jones, what backup would come in here?
Mayfield isn't coming in to take a back up spot to Jones.
I love those of you that believe this. It's really adorable at this point.Zappe? No he wasn't better than Jones. Not really.
