Isn't there just a small chance that Robyn has been appointed because she is the best person for the job? Must it really be "because she's a woman". Are you really going there?
Are you a woman?

It's weird I heard her name for the first time a couple weeks ago and now she is somehow involved in the operation of the team?

Sounds like a conduit from Mayo to the executive office.

Kraft just covering his base when he says he's not involved in football decisions.

I want to know more about this hire other than a two sentence tweet, but a senior advisor to the HC seems like a big deal. I guess if it were me, I would want someone to advise me who maybe had been there, done that. Maybe she's an Ernie Adams type. Time will tell.
Other than the fact that Ernie Adams spent his entire life studying the sport of football and this woman.... works in business admin and HR or something like that.....

seriously.... WTF is a "senior advisor to the Head Coach"? Is this something other teams have?

They also sneakily leaked it after the press conference.

This is correct because Wickersham had already mentioned it a week ago but the announcement was held until after the press conference to avoid questios. The reason the Krafts wanted to avoid questions is because the beat reporters are all misogynistic.

I don't think anyone in this forum gives a damn what the business side of the Patriots' organization looks like, but a number of us are quite concerned on what it means for someone to be a "senior advisor to the Head Coach" - especially someone who apparently has zero experience with X's and O's.

Now if she is advising Mayo on finding good restaurants in Saugus (Kowloon!) then that's fine. But yeah, I am amongst those who are concerned that this is going to be a conduit for non-football management to meddle with football ops. (2 cents to @condon84 for using his term there)

@RobertWeathers posted above that she's here to advise him on league matters. I am ok with that.

Quite possibly. However, that has absolutely nothing to do with what you quoted from my post.

At least 2 in this very thread do give a damn about such an inconsequential thing.
