This is a complete joke. Groh has shown himself to be pretty useless. I know less about Wolf but bringing back the entire front office and just dumping Bill seems ridiculous. I thought the Krafts had taken weeks to plan a strategy but it seems like they just wanted Bill out. Ending up with the worst of both worlds - lose your hall of fame coach and still end up with his underachieving front office staff. Anyone feel good with Jonathan Kraft, Matt Groh and Mayo running the draft?
As long as the Krafts don't interfere, I feel good about it.

If the Kraft's force them to take Daniels, because they want a QB to be the face of the franchise, I won't feel good about it, unless the scouting team is united in thinking it's a good idea.

I'm one who happens to think though that the personnel decisions all make sense.

Thornton busting is the only bad one.

People keep saying “Groh and Wolf” but someone needs to have final say. It can’t be 2 guys.

Bourne and Hoyer were familiar with the Shanahan system and quickly realized Patricia and Judge were in way over their head trying to implement it with the Pats.
Yep. They had zero faith those two knew wtf they were doing.

Agree pick one.

Kraft is not forcing anyone to be taken.

IMHO QB is top priority. We don’t have one & it’s the most important position in sports. The top “projected 3” are all extremely talented/dynamic prospects.
We obviously need a Qb. But what if the guy remaining at our pick is rated lowly by the scouts?

You can't take a QB just to take a QB.

Schefter abs Phil Perry report this morning that Pats aren’t signing a GM and Groe is staying on

WHAT ARE THESE ASSHOLES ****ING DOING?!
Combined with the Wickersham article this is a very concerning situation. It sounds like the Krafts are really trying to put their finger prints all over football operations.

Bill ****ed up with a lot of stuff but it’s not like the Krafts have some good track record when they get involved in personnel.

I agree with your last statement. However, I just don’t see that as being the case; especially with a new head coach.

I heard that Meyers and Hoyer were very critical of Fat Mat thus were exiled

Doesn’t get more ironic than that. One of Belichick’s more worn sayings was that if you can’t handle constructive criticism you can never get better, which is completely true, but the coaches couldn’t handle it.

I hope so. The biggest mistake they can make with a draft pick this high is to take a guy who does not have an NFL arm, just because they need a guy.

It would make sense for wolf to take over as GM and start the process of moving us into the 21st century in terms of scouting, analytics, sports science and maybe we can subscribe to blesto!!!!

People I trust
In other words no one who would have a clue?
Or is it the same person who told you that you could force a cus bro clean toilets instead of firing them?

So no GM until after the draft? That seems counter productive
I don’t like it. Sounds like not much is changing at all beyond kicking Bill out. Same staff, less structure and hierarchy. And two guys doing the job that ought to just be done by one.

Doesn’t bode well.

Still missing the password to your AndyJohnson account?

Hopefully the HC but this whole thing gives me Jerry Jones vibes so I fear it could be the Krafts.

With BB pretty much having final say for the last 20 years, the Krafts(Probably Jonathan) may want to have final say over the draft and free agency.

Where going to find out quickly whether Groh and Wolf were held back.
I want to be cautiously optimistic that they were advisory and and deferred to Bill.

It was obvious that Bill wanted to ship out Shaq Mason and not pay Karass and replace the position through the Draft with a high Draft pick to fill the need for an immediate starter.

Thornton seems to have Groh's fingerprints all over him.

The drafting of kickers in the 4th round seems like BB decision. Definite reach this past year. I wasn't opposed to us drafting Ghostkowski when we did because we were loaded with talent with few holes to fill back in the day and had the luxury of taking the best kicker on the board well ahead of other teams.

The drafting of 3 defensive players at the top of the draft screams like a BB move to me. I firmly believe he wanted his kids to benefit from further talent infusion on the defensive side of the ball despite the offense being a talent starved mess.
