It's easy, and only takes a few moments. If you listened to his explanation he tries to act like it's some faith in his offense he said something like that's what I told them with one minute forty one on the clock so thats what we did when we got there and to not even acknowledge he should of reconsidered from the 7 should be enough for the Fords to try and trade for Bill. Or just fire Dan.Making it all about himself, coaches like a guy who wants all the credit for the win.
The Lions have built a competitive team and you have a coach teetering from aggressive to just borderline reckless, he's still coaching like he's a 14 point underdog every game.
Well why did Penei Sewell get in the way?
I believe them. The lions are calling the league officials liars saying that Skipper didn’t report.
I bet you Allen gets the Ben Drieth treatment and it's a long time before he refs a Lions game again. From the video it sure looks like he reported and there is a video on ESPN when he leaves the sidelines to enter the game when the coaches tell him to report... Allen saw #70 and missed #68. Too bad they couldn't challenge the play.I believe them.
Brad Allen is ****.
I really hope it's the lions now and because they are likeable losers I feel like I should be rooting for them but I find the BS a turnoff.Irrespective of what Allan and his crew did, one thing I'm confused on is the narrative that the Lions had nothing to lose by going for it. As far as I can see they could still improve their play-off seeding, maybe get HFA, the 1 seed etc. Maybe go for it once if you have a sure fire trick play but not the other times. Suck it up, take the OT and fight to improve your play-off seed. All this 2pt/4th down obsession macho ******** is going to cost some team a Lombardi.
Look clearly the ref screwed up but I don't take any blame away from the lions for it. First they are clearly playing games to try and confuse Dallas by sending 3 players at the refs. Problem is they confused the Refs too. But to me here's the real kicker they announce to everyone in attendance so and so has reported as eligible. So if you know you're playing games you should make sure to pay attention that Refs announce it right.I bet you Allen gets the Ben Drieth treatment and it's a long time before he refs a Lions game again. My only thought there was perhaps the noise in the stadium, players zoned in on the play etc kinda drowns out any announcements over the mic. That said, someone in the Lions organisation should have been listening. But to me here's the real kicker they announce to everyone in attendance so and so has reported as eligible. I agree I'm sure crowd noise played a role. Perhaps playing those games with the eligible was better saved for a home game. To me there is little about this play that doesn't ultimately land back on the coaches. My only thought there was perhaps the noise in the stadium, players zoned in on the play etc kinda drowns out any announcements over the mic. Well that would be way more idiotic than what I asked/suggested. There are a lot of inconsistencies in the rule book. Fumble and the ball goes out of bounds. You still get to keep the ball. It goes out of the end zone or out of bounds past the pylon and you lose the ball and the other team gets a 20 yard gift. Downing the ball in the end zone is a little different. Why not make them start from the middle of the end zone if the intercept it in the end zone?
Well I don't actually think they should do that just that that's the logic that makes the fumble and int in the end zone consistent. Since you can't start in the middle of the EZ it's a touchback. Here's a novel idea don't fumble it and especially don't fumble where there is no more field of play. I see zero reason to award the fumbler by giving them the ball back the rule is good as it is.Well that would be way more idiotic than what I asked/suggested. Yet if you fumble out of bounds you're rewarded with keeping the the ball. They don't give the ball to the other team plus another 20 yards. Basically both scenarios are pretty similar but in one case it's a turnover and it's not on the other.Well I don't actually think they should do that just that that's the logic that makes the fumble and int in the end zone consistent. I'd rather change out of bounds then but I'm fine with how it is.Yet if you fumble out of bounds you're rewarded with keeping the the ball.
