Tom Curran: Sources made 'clear to me' decision to move on from Belichick made after Germany game

Who would've thought this is how the dynasty ends.

First pushing Brady out by not wanting to pay him what he deserves. Then Bill takes the ship down the tubes to possibly a 3-14 season and is fired.

In an alternate universe we draft AJ brown, the report never comes out about Antonio brown and Brady and Bill ride out into the sunset together. With Bill beating Shula's record who knows maybe another Superbowl appearance.
If we drafted AJ Brown and got a year or two out of AB before he went nuts in some other way I think there's a solid chance Brady gets another ring here and the band never breaks up.

I agree. Also while Brady was miserable in 2019. I think he comes back if we have AJ Brown/Antonio brown and go farther in the playoffs.

Being underpaid and struggling all year throwing to sanu/Ben Watson with NewHouse as his LT. and then getting outed in the wild card round just confirmed to him ut was time to leave to greener pastures in Tampa.

Much easier to leave when the team looks like garbage and you are underpaid. Winning cures all usually.

In an alternate univere we draft Lamar Jackson to be our QB of the future in 2018 after deciding we wouldn't extend Brady, which pissed him off enough to leave in 2019 anyways. In the next round, we draft Fred Warner to be our premier LB for years to come instead of Duke Dawson. The next year we use our first to get Deebo Samuel instead of the biggest WR bust of modern times. Instead of Joejuan we snag either AJ Brown or DK Metcalf. We are now set at WR to this day. In 2020 we get Jonathan Taylor. In 2020 we don't waste a pick on the 5th QB taken in the top 15 and trade down and snag Landon ****erson as a Center and use the rest of our draft capital. In 2022, we get literally anyone besides Cole Strange.

Then I wake up.

I didn't really get the uproar about Kraft saying Bill is an *******. He is. I think even Bill would admit that.
He called him an idiot savant. Lol

These things happen. Over 20 yrs , its hard to keep just winning and not having all the hits. If marshawn lynch had run it from the 1 yard line, maybe we have one ring less or more than one. There is always a balance. No team will be able to do this for 20 yrs like we did. Have to take some lumps as they come.

****y. Lol

In an alternate universe BB picks every player in the last 5 drafts and you Brady ballhuggers still find a way to complain.

We went into 2019 with Josh Gordon and Antonio Brown. Gronk quit on the team. Brady quit on all of New England when we were 8-0. And yet everyone blames BB for his GM abilities. I hope he is the one picking the players this year. He's been right more often than he hasn't been, at a far more successful rate than anyone in the history of the game.

I agree but there has to be some balance down the stretch in the Brady era as well. Bill kept whiffing on trades, the draft, and free agency. If he even managed to hit on one offensive playmaker down the stretch we could have kept the train rolling on a bit longer.

Bill the GM has failed.
Bill the HC is in steady decline. (Have you watched the games?)
Both must be fired. This has been obvious for some time.
When you all are through with the panty-twisting and have gone through the necessary grieving process, I'm sure you'll feel better..

Gotta be sarcasm.

So...as per curran , the krafts have decided to move on and told other people in the org including curran but havent told bill ? As schefter says, is this even possible ?

Sure it's possible lol. Plenty of companies make the decision that they are going to let go of someone at a specific time and don't tell them until that time.

Doesn't mean that IS what is happening in this case, but I'd imagine plenty of owners have decided they are moving on in the off season and wait until the season ends to have a sit down with the coach to not dirupt operations in the present.

In fact, from personal experience I can tell you for a fact that a lot of people knew certain coaches were getting fired before they were told.

So the media who have a hate-hate relationship with BB are now coming out and saying he should keep his job and it's a mistake to let him go? Hmm...

Maybe they want him to stay so the Pats will remain mired in mediocrity (or worse).

Giardi's ****ing wrong. Dead Wrong. What happened to Stink Stank Stunk? Has he forgotten who's responsible for that?

Bill still has to Go.
giardi isnt wanting to keep BB. he says they need to let him know now.

arch: even if it's Mayo he won't be given Full Control like BB I think those days are officially over the HC/GM dual Title.
The dual title is reserved for coaches with more rings than will fit on one hand…
