Really is that simple. How many times will we have a top 3 pick? If there’s a QB there that the GM loves then you take him ahead of any other position.

Gotta make it to a big game to choke it away. The Pats won't be in one for a while.Cousins = Big Game Choker no thanks.
Seriously though I don't like his recent injury.Gotta make it to a big game to choke it away. The Pats won't be in one for a while.
Yes I'm with you on that. I will always appreciate all he's done, everything he's meant for the organization and the region. Sometimes I'd just wish he'd give more... meaning say more.. like when he's asked about special teams, NFL history or NAVY.I didn't say don't criticize him. Criticize him all you want. I'm saying that press conferences don't matter.
No one is ripping BB.. I'm not defending the media. I'm simply saying can he answer a question more respectfully, it's almost like he's sending a message of he's too good to speak with the media. I don't see any other HC in the league do this. Of course certain things he's not going to speak on.. he has no problem speaking endlessly when it comes to lacrosse, Navy or special teams. I think we on the forum have given him legitimate criticism I know I have in past post. However not taking anything away from how great he's been. Just my opinion that's all.You actually are defending those vultures by your response.
Legitimate criticism is fine - but ripping a coach for protecting a player with something that is actually none of our damn business is doing nothing but perpetuating this.
Who is ripping him?You actually are defending those vultures by your response.

We don't know if it's the WR drafting philosophy (type of receiver) which sucks, the picker who sucks or the evaluator who sucks."If you want speed you have to draft speed"
- Matt Groh on Tyqan Thornton
As a stopgap so the franchise QB has time to learn i'm OK with that.If you're going to sign Kirk Cousins, you may as well sign Baker Mayfield, who's 8 years younger.
The guy who's had "final say" is the problem. We don't know if it's the WR drafting philosophy (type of receiver) which sucks, the picker who sucks or the evaluator who sucks.
Yes. Either he is veto-ing a good recommendation or rubber-stamping a crappy one.The guy who's had "final say" is the problem.
That's something they should figure out before anointing Groh the GM.We don't know if it's the WR drafting philosophy (type of receiver) which sucks, the picker who sucks or the evaluator who sucks.
No question. That's something they should figure out before anointing Groh the GM.
OK then let's sign Mahomes or WentzCousins = Big Game Choker no thanks.
When he's asked about those things, he talks. He's very willing to talk about things that don't concern giving information about player weakness, strategies, blaming others.Yes I'm with you on that. I will always appreciate all he's done, everything he's meant for the organization and the region. Sometimes I'd just wish he'd give more... meaning say more.. like when he's asked about special teams, NFL history or NAVY.
They have nearly $100M in cap space this year and far more the next two years. There is no reason they can't get the QB and do significant rebuilding.I think if they solidify the team in the draft then Zappe will have more support and we will find out if he improves over time. If we blow our wad on a crap shoot draft pick QB and neglect rebuilding then I think the odds are we lose.
A lot of us expected something similar last draft. Except Gonzalez in the first.draft offense on day1 and day 2
select no ST only players
this would be a good start since the offense free agents are rarely good classes at OT and WR or QB
And top defenses can't lead a team like a competent offense can
He is a football genius. When experts feel they mastered everything they tend not to take advice or advicement like a president not listening to his advisor. He being the HC as well he likes feels there is no on that knows the roster better than him. Look at the state of the roster currently. I don't put the injuries on him but everything is his doing.Yes. Either he is veto-ing a good recommendation or rubber-stamping a crappy one.
In the 4th round at that.. should have just kept Nick around for another season.A lot of us expected something similar last draft. Except Gonzalez in the first.
Going defense in the third and moving up to get a failing kicker in the fourth with this disgusting offense is enough to fire the GM. Total incompetence.
