I think you need an offensive coach first and foremost. Any OC you get could be gone after one year. An offensive head coach is here to stay.

A young QB will need stability.

Flores didn't have Tyreek. If you watch Tua without Tyreek's safety net, he's terrible. Tyreek is a cheat code.

There's a segment on here who will blindly defend Bill and look to shift blame wholly onto someone else when things go wrong. Last year was Patricia or Judge and this year it's Mac. They feel the need to make someone else the scapegoat for Bill's recent failures and completely absolve him even though he is the one who put these people in their positions in the first place. The buck stops with Bill. Yes, Mac, Judge, and Patricia have all been a big part of the problems but the biggest problem is Bill continually putting people in a position to fail. I appreciate what he's done here but it's time to move on. He's north of 70 and the game has passed him by.

Reid got fired from Philly, you’re probably too young to remember. He thought Kevin Kolb was a good draft prospect the way BB thought Mac was.

I blamed BB for building a bad team in 2019, Is said he was an idiot for not grabbing a TE when Foster Moreau was sitting there in the 4th round. I said the signing of Marshall Newhouse would be a disaster. Brady got hurt in 2019, that’s why he faltered down the stretch.

Zappe posted the second highest point total on the season Thursday and his beaten up WR corps looked good. It wasn’t the weapons, Mac sucked.

You’d rather fire BB with no answers on a replacement than fix the actual problem.

No doubt you started watching football in your youth in 2001, you have no idea what being a league doormat for decades looks like. That’s why you’re rushing headlong in that direction.

Reid got fired from Philly because he had too many failures there and was trending down and both sides needed a fresh start. It worked out for both of them. Philly won a Super Bowl and found a way to be competitive and Reid found a team that was exstatic to have him and was able to load up on what he wanted and he won rings as well. It was a win win. The Patriots aren't winning right now.

Wozzy I've watched more football than you have in your life and I get paid to officiate high level college games. You are not on my level in terms of exposure or understanding the sport. You are a run of the mill homer who sits on his couch and just says whatever feels good because you can't accept that the old dog had his day an it's over. You aren't going to be able to flex your limited knowledge here.

Explain to me why Bill's special teams is one of the worst units in the league. That isn't Mac. Explain to me why every good offense that isn't crap burns the **** out of our defense and has the last few years. That isn't a Mac issue. His style of coaching worked for a long time but I think he has a hard time getting through to or relating to guys in their 20's today. Curran even played a clip of McDaniel in Miami to showcase the difference in approach in their styles (yes, I'm aware McDaniel hasn't won anything yet).

Josh left, weapons were lackluster O line below average offense changed without getting preference the offense wasn’t built around him he was looked at to do his job.

Look what happened in Baltimore they gave Jackson his contract, upgraded his weapons brought in a OC to fit him.

What I saw after the Steelers game with that interaction with Bill and Bailey really cemented the point we need a coach who has a personal relationship with his QB so the QB has all the trust, security and confidence in himself and what he is doing.

You're moving the goal posts.

The fact is Miami is

1. One of the Super Bowl contenders this year
2. Has the hot track to win this division
3. Turned a QB who was viewed as a bust into a QB in the MVP discussion.

There is no rational take right now that McDaniel did not go above and beyond with his task whether they end up going all the way or not. They now have a window and wrestled the division away from the team that won it the last 3 years in a row.

And saying "yes we aren't making it this year" is a complete understatement. They are currently one of 2 teams that is eliminated from playoff contention in the league. They are effectively the worst team in their conference. And it wasn't just Jones. You can say that until you are blue in the face. The offensive line has been mediocre all year independent of Jones. The special teams is one of the worst units in the NFL. The defense has been getting burned for years against any high quality offense. Sorry it's a total failure. It's not a one position **** up that is making Bill look bad.

I don't think it's a self esteem thing, that's a red flag and the team would have known that a while ago and wouldn't have touched him in the draft.

It's that McCorkle can't elevate his team and can't handle adversity. When things go bad they'll REALLY go bad. If his team was down 28-3 in an important game feels like the outcome would be quite a bit different than the last time they were in that position with the last guy....

When Bill leaves the Patriots will line up candidates and interview them and find who they think is the best one. Like every other team does who is looking for a head coach. Not sure why the onus is on fans to come up with an answer on a replacement.

I don't understand the notion when it comes to "What do you do after you fire Bill?" The same thing everyone else does. Interview guys and make the decision you feel is best. We aren't splitting the atom here.

I have said it a few times on here lately but I think Bill's approach probably would've worn out a lot earlier had Brady not been driving the message home in the locker room. Of course you will always have the outliers during the dynasty like Randy Moss towards the end of his time here or Adalius Thomas who became locker room issues but for two decades Brady instilled Bill's message on a player level. Now with no alpha dog rallying the troops you get guys checking out like Isiah Wynn or guys like Jack Jones who just doesn't buy in at all.

Anyone who refuses to believe that the coaching staff failed Mac to some extent clearly has an agenda. Giving him a DC for an OC in year two and letting the team's best receiver walk as well as ignoring tackle in year three doesn't set up a young QB for success.
