Guy is nothing, nada, useless. Who gives a damn?
It might have been entertaining to see him play. We’ve seen Jones and Zappe. Not entertaining.
The difference is that he wouldn’t just be an emergency QB anymore, he can play snaps any time as a PS elevation without the other guys who are active needing to both get hurt first. And he can elevate 3 times before needing to be signed to the 53 again. If it wasn't for the intrigue around the starter this week, releasing Grier to add McDermott to the roster would not draw much attention. I think Ross12 has the right idea - resign Grier to the PS where he can continue to be the emergency 3rd QB.
Because he's a tiny guy who's never going to make it as a QB in the NFL.Malik Cunningham says he hasn’t practiced at QB since Week 6
Oddly enough, Malik Cunningham hasn't taken a QB rep for the Patriots since before the Las Vegas Raiders game.www.yahoo.com
why? Why hasn’t he practiced at QB since week 6?? The disconnect and dysfunction is out of contol.
Terrible take. Not counting Brady or even Mac QBs he drafted have started over 200 games in the league. My faith in Bill’s ability to evaluate a QB is zero.
I agree. I was hoping they’d try Grier this week. Why not ? Because he’s not good ? That would be hilarious, as they’ve played other QBs that aren’t good for several years. It might have been entertaining to see him play. We’ve seen Jones and Zappe. Not entertaining.
This is some weird ****. Why cut him now after keeping him all this time? They just gave him some first team reps last week, now he’s cut? Will they just carry two QBs again? Will they try to sign Grier to the PS and elevate him a few games so he can be active without needing to be the “emergency only” guy? Or will Cunningham be the new 3rd guy? Or will it just be nobody? Seems like they have no plan at all.

I think it was Curran. He probably had some weasel words before he made his genius prediction. You forgot Breer - the guy is awful with no sources at all.Was it Bedard or Curran that said they thought Grier would start lol? None of these local clowns have sources, if it doesn't come from one of the main guys like Schefty or Reiss then you can be 99% certain it's not true, including all the BB is done in NE talk. All of it is speculation.
Sorry, I meant that he could be elevated to be the backup in an emergency. Sheesh. The emergency 3rd QB has to be on the 53. We have been over this repeatedly.
Q: What is an Emergency Third Quarterback?
A: A club may designate a bona fide quarterback as an Inactive/Emergency Third Quarterback for a regular-season or postseason game. The player must be listed on the Gameday Administration Report that is submitted prior to or at the 90-minute meeting, subject to the following:
The Emergency Third Quarterback must be on the club's 53-player roster; the player cannot be an elevated Practice Squad player. The club's starting quarterback (QB1) and its backup quarterback (QB2) must also be on the club's 53-player roster.
A 28 year old who hasn’t played a real football game since 2019 probably doesn’t have a lot of upside anyway. They cut him because he sucks - what is wierd about that? He has already been cut other places. The guy sucks and gets cut. There is no plan because a bottom of the roster guy, QB #4, gets cut? Overreact much? Now we can add McDermott to the 53.
Outside of Brady, which QB drafted by Bill has become a GOOD NFL starter?Terrible take. Not counting Brady or even Mac QBs he drafted have started over 200 games in the league.
Zappe. Just ask Triumph.Outside of Brady, which QB drafted by Bill has become a GOOD NFL starter?
This is like saying coaches in Bill Belichick's tree have coached over 200 games so that means they are good.Terrible take. Not counting Brady or even Mac QBs he drafted have started over 200 games in the league.
