Wonder if he will make changes at other positions too. Or start playing guys in a rotation.

If a player is not practicing or playing hard, BB sits him. Rotations have been rare except when integrating back in after an injury. That is how it hss been for 20 years. This year is lost but I don't see any coaching changes coming.

Please explain to me how BBs systems are not modern? I've heard this a lot from reporters too and I think it's just lazy and inaccurate. You can go back through the whole run and every few years there is shift in the concepts he uses.
I don't think it's inaccurate. Go and look at Miami, look at even Buffalo, don't have to go far. They utilize zone concepts, put players in advantageous match ups based on thier skill set. It takes innovation, and understanding what the league offensively is. I'm not saying by any stretch that BB doesn't know any of this. However the team is still running the Brady offense. During the run we had the skill players to execute the Brady offense. We had McDaniels for most of that run. The offense was McDaniels and Brady's.

He tried to switch up the offense Mac couldn't handle it and cried so they went back.

And you talk about the Brady offense like it didn't change every few years. Off the top of my Head what Charlie ran at first changed a little after we got Graham and Watson. Then it changed again as we switched from Charlie to Josh and Rules changed and we got Moss. Then it changed again with BoB and Gronknandez. Then came some of those Chip Kelly type stuff that doesn't seem all that different than what Mia does now. Then Josh came back and if you want to be lazy you can just call all this the Brady and Josh offense because Josh was here last but the truth is it changed a lot through the years and Bill always let his coordinators cook and implement all sorts of things through the years. It's not skill players holding them back it's Mac they tried to change things up year 2 and Mac fought it/ wasn't capable of it so they switched back.

I'm sorry but I'm going to need a better explanation as to how Bill's offense isn't modern than to just say look at Mia.

Personally I don’t mind this year. Way less stress losing and just hoping to ruin another fan base weekend. We’ve been to 11 super bowls in less than 40 years. That’s bonkers .. love the fact that the Bills have put together such a powerhouse and have nothing to show for it. KC still has many years left to match what the Pats did.. they will fall. We will be back. We definitely will never duplicate what happened in the last 20 years. I’m not 100 % sure Bill will be gone. I’m not sure anyone is.
Absolutely agree it won't be replicated in ANY sport. The level if success that we've had. People in other sports cities call us spoiled and I'd say we were. However the patriots were losing for so long prior to RK purchasing the team. No one can play or coach forever. So we know that it would end at some point.

My friend. I made simple points in our own division of modern offenses. 12 ppg is all you need to use as a barometer for how this offense is. Miami is a modern offense basically every AFC team except us is a modern offense. I'm not trying to convince you the proofs on tape we have a season long sample. I'm not arguing the offense didn't change over the years. The weather changes too! However by NFL standards this isn't a modern offense I'm sorry. Look at Miami yesterday putting up 30 plus on an elite defense. Why? Because McDaniel has a modern offensive scheme that utilizes his players to the best of thier abilities. The Patriots offense worked as well as it did Becuase of the GOAT and Josh. This isn't hard to figure.

That’s a fact … we all retire by choice or by force sooner or later haha!!

LOL ain't that the truth. What I'll be excited to see going forward with the next coaching staff is some modern offensive scheme.. I love to watch the NFL as a whole. I watch teams each week go down the field and score in 5,6 plays. It takes us smoke n mirrors and alot of misdirection to even get to the 50 yard line for us.

Obviously a copy cat league, but who would have thought the nfl would have copied the cfl !! I’m privy to the old nfl. Two yards and a cloud of dust. Violent hits … If you watch college football, The tackling is atrocious!! So many players tackle high and slam guys into the ground. Lots of points … getting to be like basketball, whoever has the ball last wins …

Your right. The NFL has copied from college and vice versa, the league is all about offensive football. It's very rare to see those violent hits.. if it happens is an automatic flag. We helped changed the rules because Bill Polian cried to the NFL about how we were physical with his WRs down field.

The Canadian Football League… cfl. It’s been a wide open game since the 70s . Lots of points and pre snap shifts. Bigger field with an extra player on both sides. 3 downs instead of 4. Less running more passing

Lazy and inaccurate analysis got it.

I tend to agree but his comments about how all players need to be ready to go makes me wonder.

Ross can I ask. What's the motivation behind it? What competitive advantage does naming a starter give to the opponent?

We're not good I understand that. Your conflating it with outdated is my contention.
All I'm simply saying is that we have to consume so much clock and use smoke n mirrors now to score. The Patriots offense that was once so fluid, schemed up well, execution with pin point accuracy is a shell of it's former self. That has alot to do with personnel and scheme to the players on offense. So I was just saying by today's NFL standards that maybe our offensive scheme may be outdated?

And all I'm simply saying is that calling something outdated that you watched evolve for 20 years and constantly implement popular trends through the years is not the best analysis. And you seem to know it because you keep telling about the personnel but can't say anything about what is actually outdated.

Your not listening to me my friend. I'm in agreement with you that the offense has evolved over 20 seasons and was 6th in PPG with Josh in Mac's first season. However this season, I just told u we score 12 ppg , takes long drives to no where often ..with smoke n mirrors not actually lining up, and beating the guy in front of you. There is no downfield passing attack. No full back, no 3rd down back, no RPOs, analysis is my eyes what I witness on Sundays. Yes the personnel absolutely has much to do with this. You know this just like I do. So to me IMO it's outdated. There is no answer this season and it's okay. Rk is a proud owner I doubt this offense looks like this next season it's an embarrassment.

Our downfield threats have been mostly hurt and Mac sucks at the deep ball.

Fullback really? Because fullback is the staple of modern offense.

No 3rd down back, So what? Both of our backs are capable receivers and Rham and Zekes running and receiving has easily been the best part of the offense.

No RPOs? We have run more this year than year before.

I say the problems are all talent not scheme. that's on Bill so I'm not letting him off the hook.

I'm sorry I mentioned full back. I didn't mean to offend your BB record breaking offense. Of course it is on BB. He ASKED for the GM hat when he took the. As much deserved as the credit he gets for the success, rightly so he gets criticism for how we look now. Honestly I just believe with the Dallas and NO blow outs the season spiraled out of control and could never recover. Unfortunately we only get 17 games. Now instead of talking about play off seeding we have to talk about draft picks. This team in 2021 was 9-3 and the top seed in the AFC, the feeling was wow BB has created another winner post the Ghost. How did we get here?
